Real-world marketing in action at the Wolverine Den!

Our students stepped into the role of true marketers this week by conducting live market research using an interactive spinner to engage their target audience. As customers participated, students gathered consumer preference data while offering slushie samples as part of a product trial strategy!

This wasn’t just a fun activity, it was a lesson in:
🔹 Experiential marketing
🔹 Customer engagement tactics
🔹 Data collection & analysis
🔹 Consumer behavior insights
🔹 Value exchange in promotional strategy

By combining gamification with sampling, students increased participation rates, created memorable brand interactions, and gathered actionable feedback to inform future product, promotion, and pricing decisions!

Learning marketing from a textbook is one thing.
Designing an activation, engaging real customers, and analyzing the results? That’s next-level learning.

Proud of these students for thinking like marketers and executing like professionals. 📊🥤

✨ BIG NEWS, WAUKESHA WEST SUPPORTERS!✨
We’re so excited to share a huge milestone for our School-Based-Enterprise students, the official launch of our very first apparel line! This project has been years in the making, and our students have poured their ideas, creativity, and pride into bringing it to life.

Our debut item? A super soft white hoodie featuring the West Paw loud and proud right in the center. It’s clean, bold, and the perfect way to show off that school spirit. 🐾

To celebrate the launch, we’re offering a special $30 price, the lowest of the entire season! Sizes Small, Medium, and Large are available, and they’re already drawing tons of attention.

This hoodie isn’t just merch, it’s the first chapter of a student-led journey in creativity, entrepreneurship, and real-world business experience. I’m incredibly proud of everything they’ve accomplished!

If you’d like to support our young entrepreneurs, consider purchasing a hoodie while supplies last! You can stop by the Den during operational hours, or swing by C117 and Mr. Sisk will be happy to help you out. We accept card, cash, and check! 💙✨

Our Wolverine’s Den Advisor, Mr. Sisk, is proudly showing off a sign designed by our Marketing students for the 2025 Homecoming Powderpuff Game! 🎉

To help spread school spirit, we donated over $90 worth of candy and bead necklaces as incentives during the festivities. It’s always inspiring to see our students’ creativity and leadership shine through events like this! e

📦 Exciting delivery day for the Waukesha West School Store “Wolverine’s Den”! Our Square POS has arrived, which means we’ll soon be able to accept credit cards and Apple Pay! This is all part of the grant we received from Waukesha Education Foundation, Inc. for the project “Modern Markets, Modern Minds: Equipping Students with 21st Century Workforce Skills.”💳🍎

Here’s a snippet from our Advisor Mr. Sisk:
This may just look like a box to some, but to me it truly represents Modern Markets, Modern Minds. By equipping our student-run store with today’s tools of business, we’re helping students build the 21st century workforce skills they’ll need long after graduation like adaptability, financial literacy, customer service, and comfort with evolving technology. Proud teacher moment! The shelves may be a little empty now (summer mode 😎), but we’re getting ready to fill them with school spirit and even bigger opportunities for learning!

Our School Store Manager prepared a presentation for the SBE Competition at the Wisconsin DECA State Career Development Conference and scored “Exceeds Expectations” in every category! She prepared and shared an Income Statement covering the last (3) years, Operations Report, Consumer Preferences Survey Data, and Customer Profiles!
