So proud of Natalie winning Miss Teen Wisconsin this weekend. I have done work for Natalie and her family for years. She is so deserving of this honor. I can't wait to see what she dose this year.

She now has the chance to compete for the title of Miss America’s Teen 2026.

It give me a warm feeling to know I have the best customers in the world. I have had my own business for almost 44 years. I can't even count the number of alterations I have done over the years. I have laughed with you and cried with you. I have albums full of beautiful memories of weddings I have had the honor of helping the bride look and feel special on her special day. I am blessed to call many of you friends. A special thanks to the shops who have trusted me by sending their customers to me. I am truly blessed to have a job I truly love to do. Thanks for the nomination for best of Madison in the Alteration category.

Well yesterday was a weird day for me. The last wedding gown I altered in 43 years went out the door. I made the decision this summer to stop altering wedding gowns. I want to have more time to spend with my daughters and new granddaughter as well as my Mom. I will still continue to do other alterations like Prom, Mother of the bride and bridesmaids. If you need pants hem or a new zipper I will continue doing that also. It was so hard to know how much time or what would need to be altered on a wedding gown and I was filling dates a year in advance. This gives me more flexibility to take vacations or go help family if I need to. I will miss the hugs and sweet thank you notes and pictures of my brides. Being a part of their special day has meant a lot to me. I have 3 albums full of pictures of brides I have altered their dresses. I have altered gowns for daughters of brides that I altered their dress. Yes I am getting old. I feel so blessed to have had a career that I have loved and become very good at. As I use to say to brides when they were amazed at how I was able to get their dress to fit so well. It is not my first rodeo. Farewell wedding gowns I will miss the joy that they bring to a brides special day.

It was so fun to see Michelle's beaming face on her wedding day. The photographer did a good job capturing her joy. I have done work for her for many years and now it was her turn to have her special day. She had 2 beautiful gowns and a very special veil I made for her using the hem of her mothers gown to make a satin edge on her veil and the bottom edge of her veil was the beaded lace from her now mother in laws gown. The special touch was the lace from her grandmothers gown covered her comb. I am a sentimental gal and it was a joy to make Michell's vision come to fruition. From meeting on a plane to walking down the aisle. I love hearing how my brides meet their special someone. Enjoy the beautiful pictures Michelle shared with me.

Sparkle and shine I think was the theme of Lexi's wedding. I think she nailed it. I love the neutral tones with the pop of color with the suspenders. Their smiles say it all. Congratulations. It looks like you got the day of your dreams. Thanks for sharing your day with me.

I have been soo busy I have not had time to post these beautiful pictures of Jordan's wedding. God gave them a break in the rain and they got some beautiful pictures at their beautiful venue the Ludlow Mansion. A stunning bride in her beautiful dress and a handsome groom.
