Join Luxe Beauty Piercings at The Local – Wausau tomorrow, Saturday August 22nd from 11am to 4pm for medical-grade ear piercings performed by a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner using sterile, one-time-use equipment and high-quality jewelry.

One of the things I’m most grateful for is getting to be a small part of such an incredible community.

Every time you walk through our doors, shop with us, tell a friend about The Local, share a post, or simply stop in to say hello—you’re supporting something that means so much to us. What started as a little idea has grown into something far beyond what I could have imagined, and you are the reason for that.

Back to school is more than a new year—it’s a new adventure. ✨

New classrooms. New friends. New things to learn. New memories waiting to be made. And for some, it’s the very first step into something completely new. 🫶🏼

We love all the little things that make these moments feel special—from a backpack they’re excited to carry to a notebook that becomes a place for big ideas, little doodles, and everything in between.

Here’s to the kids heading off with a little excitement, a little nervousness, and a whole lot of possibility. May this next adventure be a good one.

What started as a dream has grown into something so much bigger than we ever imagined.

Over the past nine years, we’ve celebrated milestones, welcomed new makers, expanded our stores, watched families grow (including our own!), and met thousands of incredible customers who have become friends.

Through every season, your support has meant everything. Every purchase, every kind word, every visit, every recommendation—you’ve helped make The Local what it is today.

We often say our shop is about more than the products on our shelves. It’s about community, connection, and creating a space where people can gather, discover something special, and support small businesses together.
