“I’m Alyssa, the founder of Outwash Acres—where my passions for education, the environment, and holistic living come together in every product I make. What began as a desire to teach our children about where their food comes from and how to care for the land, has grown into a small business rooted in sustainability, integrity, and intention.
At Outwash Acres, we handcraft small-batch natural soap and skincare products that are always pure, timeless, and restoring. Using nutrient-rich tallow and lard from grass-fed and finished animals raised on our regenerative farm, we create skincare that’s deeply nourishing and aligned with nature.
Regenerative farming is at the heart of what we do—moving animals through diverse pastures to mimic the natural grazing patterns of bison that historically grazed the prairies. This method works to restore soil health, improve water retention, and strengthen the ecosystems around us. This way of farming not only benefits the land, but also results in more mineral-dense and bioavailable ingredients—translating directly to healthier skin.
As the business has grown, we’ve partnered with other local farms who share our values, allowing us to stay true to our roots while expanding our impact.
