This one was in ROUGH shape but I was able to save one full star for the back. I love how it just pops there.

Every stitch tells a story. 🧵✨
I was asked to make this memory quilt for one of the most hardworking, big-hearted people I know — watching her grow through the years and Friday graduating from physical therapy school! 🎓💪

This quilt is filled with all her favorite things — a little piece of everything that makes her her. It’s my way of saying: We see you, We love you, and we are SO incredibly proud of you.

You spent years pouring everything into your patients before you even had your degree. Now the world better watch out — Dr. Kruger is officially in the building. 🙌
Here’s to the late nights, the anatomy flashcards, the clinical hours, and every moment that led to this. You earned every single thread of this. 🤍

The Evolution of a Quilt Repair

Recently a client reached out for me to repair a much loved quilt in their possession.

Full of holes, shredded batting and seams falling apart; some would say just trash it. But this is a memory. A reminder of a loved one passed. We aren’t trashing we are repairing.

Pulled out all the shredded batting, hand stitched all the frayed seams, added new batting and finally a new backing (in this case, a vintage sheet to replicate the original backing)

It’s ready to go back home now, where it will continue to be loved and used and cherished.

18 dress shirts and 2 pairs of pants

This memory quilt has headed off to it’s permanent home. Ready to wrap the recipient up in a hug.

Quilted all over with loops and swirls and backed with a blue floral print the quilt is ready for many more years of memory making.
