Happy Monday, friends! 👋🏼

This one is more for my fellow agents than my clients, because if you know me, you know I am a rule follower to a T. 😂 I didn’t even skip a day of school in high school, so you can imagine my face when I received an email from Georgia MLS Compliance because a fellow agent reported my Coming Soon video. 😅

The video I posted Friday ended with the words “Coming Soon.” I knew I had followed the rules, so instead of panicking or doing what this agent apparently wanted me to do, I pulled my documentation together and provided proof to appeal the complaint.

Here’s the important part: Once you have a signed listing agreement, a property can be marketed as Coming Soon. The listing then needs to be entered into the MLS within the required timeframe. Which is ONE BUSINESS DAY. In my case, that deadline is today at 5 PM — which just so happens to be around the same time I’ll have the professional photos back. 🙌🏼

And guess what? Georgia MLS Compliance reviewed the situation and confirmed it. ✔️

So, fellow agents, let this be your Monday reminder: Don’t let someone bully you into changing how you do business when you know you’re following the rules. Do your homework, keep your documentation, and stand on what you know to be correct.

And honestly, I think this is a good reminder of why I stay focused on my business, my clients, and my work. I work. A lot. And in the last 16 months, I’ve closed 47 transactions because I choose to spend my time focusing on serving my clients and building my business rather than worrying about what everyone else is doing. 💪🏼🏡

There is plenty of business out there for all of us. Go get it. 👏🏼

And I’ll give credit where credit is due — I’m thankful for an MLS compliance department that actually reviews the facts and documentation instead of simply acting on a screenshot or complaint.

Now… back to getting this beautiful property ready to hit the MLS! 🏡🌾
