This old Kenmore sewing machine, turned lamp is a talking point amongst visitors of the store.

Produced in the 1950's, this model 117.52, was built for heavy duty sewing.

Meet Ivy: Axe & Awl's beloved Shop Cat

While Waylon (our workshop cat) is clocking in at the workshop, supervising leather projects and keeping the mice on notice, Ivy enjoys the retail executive lifestyle. She greets customers, collects compliments, and somehow became a local celebrity without ever filling out a résumé.

She's sweet, incredibly fluffy (emphasis on fluffy, not fat), and fully convinced every visitor came to see her.

A typical day in Ivy's busy schedule:

10:00 AM – Wake-up and inspect the storefront for optimal sunbeam conditions.
11:30 AM – Greet customers and graciously accept admiration.
1:00 PM – Take a strategically timed "working lunch" (followed by a power nap).
3:00 PM – Help with admin while looking cute.
5:00 PM – Wrap up another exhausting day of being adorable before heading home.

Waylon may have the workshop, but Ivy has the fan club.
