Our last (but certainly not least) love story to share this month comes from Jenna and Ryan!💌
“It all started back in 2018 when my now husband, Ryan, and I met. We spent our first date talking about our lives and how Ryan was actually leaving right after the date to head down to Wellfleet to meet up with some friends and their family, a place he traveled to a lot over the summer since high school.
Over time, Ryan and I started to fall in love. He brought me to Wellfleet and the Beachcomber to share his love for the Cape and the bar with me! I enjoyed every visit! The beach, drinks, atmosphere, everything about it was perfect! We spent many summers exploring the area and creating memories together!
Fast forward to April 2022 when Ryan and I took a trip down the Cape that would result in an engagement. We had some drinks at Truro Vineyards, took a walk on the Atlantic White Cedar Swamp Trail, and enjoyed sandwiches from Sam’s at Mayo Beach. We made one last stop at White Crest Beach where we began walking down to Cahoon Hollow Beach. It was there at the base of the dune at the Beachcomber that Ryan proposed to me.
When searching for a venue, we decided to share our love of the Cape with our friends and family and decided on Truro Vineyards. We wanted our guests to experience everything we love. We had our rehearsal dinner at Van Rensselaer’s, cake from The Hole in One, and favors from Chequessett Chocolate.
But throughout our relationship we never forgot just how important the Beachcomber was to us. During our engagement photos, Ryan and I changed into some Beachcomber sweatshirts and jeans and splashed around in the ocean. At our wedding, we had a t-shirt toss where we tossed out Beachcomber t-shirts and tanks to our guests! Most recently, we used a Beachcomber coozie to reveal the gender of our first baby. We incorporated a Beachcomber onesie into our photos as well.
