I’m still here I promise! 😅 Just don’t have enough time for all the things and making videos 😩. We have signed a lease in St. Pete. I’m so freaking excited, we really love visiting there now we can see if we love living there! We will be so close to our kids friends, just lots of great things happening all at once 💜

Planning and creating Augusts letter with so much extra lifing squeezed in! I’m trying not to get forgotten by the algorithm! A13th bday, oldest kiddo Surgery, finding a new house in St. Pete to rent, planning the move and preparing for our oldest to move, squeezed in a concert Train and bare naked ladies last night, probably several other things I’m forgetting but I’m not forgetting YOU! Thank you for subscribing, this club has given me push to keep creating even when there’s “no time” you find time for allll the things that are important to you!

The way risoprinting works is you print each layer one at a time and as the layers print and colors overlap you get new colors! The way the printers work are very different but I’m finding that I can get some cool effects with just an inkjet!

I drew these out the other day and now I’m transforming them iold school style in paint! I remember playing with this kind of paint so much as a kid. I still use it for all kinds of things! Anyone else? I’d really like to learn procreate I’m sure it’d be easier but for now this is still fun and I’m learning new ways to use it.

I got all of my custom colors overlayed and printed on colorful papers! The colors were sat at 50% transparency for this first test! In my final test prints I’ll be playing with those percentages to get my favorite combinations to pop. Faux-riso 🙌. I really like that after experimenting like this, when I can get back to the print shop to use the real Risograph printer..I’ll have a bit better knowledge of how the colors will work and I’ll know exactly what I want to print in the time I have there 💜.

August’s letter is inspired by Risograph printing!! Started laying out my plans and I already had so much fun tinkering with RGB code grids (even if I typo’ed the heading 🤦🏻‍♀️😅…I know what I mean!) I’m going to look closer at different combos and start sketching out my ideas tomorrow 💜! My club is not big enough to rent the use of a real riso printer (yet!) so I’m experimenting with my inkjet and what I’m calling FAUX-Risoprinting! 🤣
