Our maple and ash wood bats are handcrafted using a lathe. Each bat is perfected for your specific need. We take our time to properly make, sand and bone each individually made bat. We carry two types of wood bats: maple and ash. They are the most common used wood for wood bats. Every baseball player should at least train with a wooden bat; it can help the player have better contact with the ball
because of the smaller sweet spot. Ash
Maple wood is stronger than ash so the ball will travel further because it exerts more force. Ash is a bit softer which leads to better bat control. Our bats are bone rubbed for ultimate wood density. We use a boning process to make the wood more durable and harder to break. This creates a harder surface by compressing the wood at the barrel. This process is seen throughout the history of the game; players back then used dried out dog bones, porcelain, steel poles, and other metals. At Prowler, we brought the old tradition back to life, using old hard dog bones. This effectively changes the hitting surface on each type of model and wood we use. It is a creative way to ensure the highest quality wood bats for every player.
