There’s something for everyone and maybe a bit unexpected at Harper’s Merc! HISTORY

Harper's Mercantile gets it's namesake from co-owner Adam's maternal great grandparent's who operated Harper's Bakery, later turned into a general store, around 100 years ago on the same block of East Brazos Ave in West Columbia. Our building, circa 1950, was originally the location for the McLemore's store. It later became a Ben Franklin's store; a tortilla factory which at some point had a fire that caused quite a bit of damage; another store or two; and finally a dance studio / tumbling gym, The Warehouse Athletics, which has occupied the building since 2005 and currently shares the building with Harper's Mercantile (both businesses have the same owners).
