NEW YEAR • NEW CHAPTER
So, last night after being away from the shop for a week, I walked in to what sounded like a decent sized fountain ⛲️
I followed my ear to the bathroom where I was greeted by a very wet room and a busted sink pipe that was shooting water upward. What goes up must come down, so I knew that meant the ceiling and floor underneath was going to be much worse…and it was. Ceiling tiles had fallen everywhere from being saturated and there was several inches of water in the area below the upstairs bathroom. We spent the night removing the water and hauling out damaged goods & debris, then added industrial drying equipment to remove moisture. Next we will further assess the damage and work on the repairs.
Definitely not fun, but it was kind of an unwanted nudge that I needed to make an announcement that I knew I was going to make this year, but I wasn’t really sure when.
I’ve decided to end my gig of being a shopkeeper so I can focus on the things that are very important to me: family, health & fitness, our other businesses, and really just slowing down to enjoy the last 3 years of my 50’s.
The last seven years at HFN have been amazing! I found myself completely immersed in putting all my energy into my work and I loved being able to do that! I thank you all so very much for sharing the journey with me and supporting me along the way!!
