Sometimes the most productive thing we can do is be still.

A little fresh air.
A good book.
Time with the Lord.

Those moments refill us in ways a busy schedule never can.

Sitting out by the pool on this quiet evening ... the perfect wind down from a busy week

Romans 6:23 (NKJV) For the wages of sin [is] death, but the gift of God [is] eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 10:9-10 (NKJV) 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

🌿 Evening Reflection 🌿

Some days are full.

Full of conversations.
Full of laughter.
Full of work.
Full of people.

By the time evening arrives, the quiet feels especially sweet.

As the sun slips below the horizon, I’m reminded that rest isn’t something we earn—it’s a gift from God.

He never intended us to carry every burden by ourselves.

Tonight, lay down whatever you’ve been carrying.

Tomorrow has enough grace waiting for it.

“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.”
Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV)

May your evening be peaceful, your heart be grateful, and your eyes remain fixed on the One who created it all.

🌙 Until tomorrow… stay rooted, stay grateful, and stay Connected to the Vine. 💚

🇺🇸 250 Years Later… We’re Still Planting Seeds 🌱

For 250 years, Americans have planted seeds—not only in the ground, but in their families, their communities, and future generations.

Seeds of faith.

Seeds of hard work.

Seeds of kindness.

Seeds of self-reliance.

Every spring reminds us that planting is an act of hope.

You place a tiny seed into the soil, trusting that, with God’s provision of sunshine and rain, something beautiful will grow.

The same is true in life.

The time we spend teaching our children, caring for our neighbors, tending our gardens, preserving old skills, and sharing what we’ve learned… those are seeds too.

We may not see the full harvest today, but every good seed planted has the potential to bless someone tomorrow.

As we celebrate 250 years of America, may we continue planting things that matter.

🌱 In our gardens.
💚 In our homes.
🙏 In our hearts.

Happy 250th, America! 🇺🇸

“Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy.”
Psalm 126:5 (NKJV)

🍃 From My Garden to Your Apothecary 🍃

Harvest days are some of my favorite days.

There is something deeply satisfying about gathering herbs that have been growing for weeks or months, knowing they’ll soon become teas, tinctures, infused oils, or other handcrafted preparations.

Every basket represents time…

Time spent planting.
Time spent weeding.
Time spent waiting.
Time spent trusting the process.

Nature reminds us that good things rarely happen overnight.

Every herb has its season.

Every harvest has its reward.

And every finished jar has a story that began in the garden. 💚

🇺🇸 The Best Things Are Still Worth Growing

When I think about the America I love, I don’t just think about history books or fireworks.

I think about gardens.

Fresh vegetables shared with neighbors.

Children picking berries right off the vine.

Front porch conversations after a long day’s work.

Mason jars lined up on pantry shelves.

The smell of fresh bread.

Laundry drying on a clothesline.

Hands in the dirt.

Family gathered around the table.

These simple things may seem old-fashioned to some, but I believe they’re timeless.

In a fast-paced world, there’s something deeply satisfying about slowing down, growing something with your own hands, and thanking God for the harvest.

May we never lose the simple joys that have nourished families for generations.

🇺🇸 Happy 250th, America!

“He who tills his land will have plenty of bread…”
Proverbs 12:11 (NKJV) 🌿

250 Years of Growing

🇺🇸 Celebrating 250 Years… One Garden at a Time 🌱

As our nation celebrates 250 years, I can’t help but think about the generations who came before us.

Families who planted gardens because they had to.
Mothers who dried herbs for winter.
Grandmothers who passed down recipes, remedies, and seeds.
Children who learned that food didn’t come from a store—it came from the soil.

Much of that knowledge was shared around kitchen tables and front porches, one generation teaching the next.

While our world has changed in countless ways, some things are still worth preserving.

Growing a tomato from seed.
Picking fresh blackberries.
Drying herbs for tea.
Watching bees work the flowers.
Teaching our children—and grandchildren—that God’s creation provides so much when we take the time to learn it.

As I celebrate today, I’m also grateful for the opportunity to keep a few of those old traditions alive.

Here’s to good gardens, hardworking hands, grateful hearts… and the freedom to continue passing these gifts on.

Happy 250th! 🇺🇸🌿
