Lately I’ve been slowing down when I source.

Instead of picking up pieces just because they’re vintage or because I think they’ll sell, I’ve been asking myself one question:

“Would I stop scrolling for this?”

If the answer isn’t yes… it stays behind.

I’m trying to build a collection that feels cohesive—a closet full of pieces that tell the same story. Romantic florals, moody slips, fairy blouses, western embroidery, early-2000s glamour, little oddities you don’t stumble across every day.

I want Toxic Fairy Vintage to feel less like a resale shop and more like opening the wardrobe of someone who spent years collecting beautiful things.

One of my favorite things about styling is ignoring the “rules” ✨

This piece was technically labeled as a skirt… but the second I saw the beaded fringe + velvet texture, I knew it deserved a different life. Styled as a strapless top with layered lace, it suddenly became this dreamy Y2K fairy-core look that feels completely unique.

A lot of the magic in personal style comes from thinking outside the box — dresses become dusters, scarves become tops, skirts become statement pieces. Fashion is so much more interesting when you stop wearing things exactly the way they were intended to be worn.

At Toxic Fairy Vintage, we curate both true vintage pieces and select contemporary brands we genuinely love — think Anthropologie, Free People, Jonathan Simkhai, Zimmermann + other quality labels that feel timeless rather than trendy for a single season.

We intentionally steer away from ultra fast fashion because the goal has never been to create a closet that looks like everyone else’s. The magic happens when you mix eras — pairing a modern silhouette with a vintage lace skirt, an archival beaded piece with a current designer dress, something romantic with something unexpected.

The result is a style that feels current, personal, and almost impossible to replicate ✨
