If God Isn’t Building It, I Don’t Want It. 🙏

“Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” — Psalm 127:1

I can work harder. Stay later. Sell more. Buy better equipment. Chase bigger opportunities.

But none of that matters if I’m building on the wrong foundation.

I don’t just want to build a successful business. I want to build one that honors Christ—in how we treat people, how we serve our customers, how we handle success, and how we respond when things don’t go our way.

The goal isn’t to ask God to bless my plan.

The goal is to make sure I’m building according to His.

Because if this business grows, I want the foundation underneath it to be strong enough to carry whatever God chooses to build on top of it.

Christ first. Family second. Business after that.

One Day… or Day One?

How long have you been saying “one day”?

One day I’ll start the business.
One day I’ll work on my marriage.
One day I’ll spend more time with my family.
One day I’ll finally take the step God has been putting in front of me.

The problem is, “one day” doesn’t have a date.

James 1:22 reminds us not to just hear the Word, but to do what it says.

You don’t have to know what day 100 looks like. You just have to be willing to begin day one.

So what’s it going to be—one day or day one?

Don’t Lose Your Family While Building the Future

There’s nothing wrong with working hard to provide for your family. Scripture tells us that provision matters.

But somewhere along the way, we have to remember that our family needs more than what we can buy for them.

They need our presence.
They need our attention.
They need our time.

1 Timothy 5:8 reminds us to provide for our household—but providing should never become the excuse for being absent from it.

Build the business. Chase the goal. Work hard.

Just don’t become so successful at providing for your family that you fail at being present with your family.

Find The Person You Can Dream Big With ❤️

Find the person who will pray with you, dream with you, and build with you.

The kind of love that lasts isn’t just built on chemistry—it’s built on a shared foundation.

“Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” — Ecclesiastes 4:12

The biggest dreams are often built by two people walking in the same direction while keeping Christ at the center.

I’m thankful God gave me someone to dream big with.

Sometimes I wonder if the answer to all my problems is waiting on the coast of San Juan Island with my wife…

Probably not.

But we’re gonna keep checking… just to be sure. 🌅❤️

Stepping away from the shop for a few days reminded me that rest isn’t wasted time—it gives you the clarity to come back better. The business will always need you, but so will the people you love.
