We're here. We're q***r. We're anxious. 🌈🏳️‍🌈

The Anxious Shark Pride collection was the very first themed Anxious Shark I ever made, and it was life changing- for a number of reasons!

While this collection helped inspire and launch ALL the future Anxious Sharks, what was really incredible was how much people felt seen by this Anxious little guy, proud to be holding his flag of choice. 🏳️‍🌈 He was offering a chance to not only share his Q***r Pride, but to also share his (and the owners) anxiety without shame. Because every person feels anxious at some point, for some thing.

I didn't realize how necessary that was, to be able to acknowledge your anxiety without shame.

Anyway.

This year I’ve been doing lots of paintings, but I also started making sculpted rings, and I’ve been using different materials. Which means- those materials now need to be in easily accessible drawers.

My space is SMALL. And every inch of space is utilized for optimal storage and accessibility. But that means when my materials change, or stock changes (or if anything changes, really) - I need to reorganize my storage system, otherwise I can’t access the stuff I need easily. And when I’m working, if I can’t access it (or put it away) easily- it just stays out. And it becomes too chaotic, too quickly.

So I started that yesterday. But then I went to look for a shirt that I never found, but that caused my tightly-packed drawers to absolutely explode. So. I guess it’s time for a refresh over there too.

This past weekend I got a chance to show my work at the show *FATHOM* at the

I’m so proud of my setup, and the venue was really really cool! There were such incredible and talented artists there, and I’m so thankful for the opportunity to get to be an apart of it, and all the amazing people I got a chance to connect with!

The weather was absolutely dreadful, but then again, maybe I was getting to confident in my packing/moving abilities, and I needed a little challenge 😉

I’ve worked with the wonderful folks from PDA before, and I’m really happy I got a chance to experience it again!

A fellow delightful and talented q***r artist got her page shut down with no warning, and now she has to rebuild the page she spent years working on.

Her work is all handcrafted, and it's fabulous. Here's a couple examples of her rugs, (including some pieces she made of my art! How cool!)

You don’t have to love your body to treat it kindly.

We don’t save kindness and respect only for the people we love- so why does it feel so hard to extend that mentality to ourselves?

To Embrace Body Love is to understand and accept that your body deserves love, regardless of your feelings towards it at any given moment.

You do not need to save kindness and compassion for love.

I promise, it’s much nicer when you realize you can be kind to yourself and your body even if you don’t like it. 🩷
