Come trim Amari's nails with me! 💙✂️🫶
A little glimpse into life as an autism mama! 🧩💙
Amari has Level 3 autism and a language disorder, but just because he doesn't communicate with words doesn't mean he doesn't communicate! 🥹💕
One of the ways Amari communicates with me is by grabbing my hand and guiding me to whatever he wants or needs. Whether it's food, a snack, playing, going outside, or coming back inside.
Over the years, I've learned to understand exactly what he's trying to tell me. Sometimes all it takes is one little tug on my hand, and mama already knows! 🥹💙
Lately, Amari has been going through a little scratching phase, so I make sure to keep his nails trimmed, especially now that he's started school. I want to help keep him, his little classmates, and his teachers safe. 💕
And can we just take a moment to appreciate how AMAZING he does?! 😍👏
He's so patient, sits so nicely, and actually enjoys getting his nails done! No fighting, no fussing, just my sweet boy! 🥹💙
I'm so incredibly proud of him!
