Greetings Friends and Neighbors
Hope you are weathering the snow and staying safe and well this Ground Hog Day.
Talking about snow for some reason feel refreshing !
I'm writing today to share another chapter of the story of Common Threads of Maine and my family .
We have all continued to stiver through these unprecedented times of Covid -19 and the economic downturn by being resourceful as we can and building a great program to meet the needs of the every changing textile industry.
We will be starting yet another training this week for 12 new students. The work goes on and the needs are great for empowering students and lifting them out of poverty to a good paying job.
We teach our students the art and skill of industrial sewing - navigation in the working world so that they can follow their dreams and build a better life supporting themselves and their families here in Maine.
In order to do this we need everyones help and so I am posting this recent piece about our story and ask today that consider a donation to support us.
We are all in this together - Changing the world , one thread at a time . Together we can make it better !
Please visit our website to donate today www.commonthreadsmaine.org and also see this piece by Kira Kase at PBS
