I want indigenous people to feel seen and heard. The events of "thanksgiving," may not have taken place the way we imagined them and even if it did it led to trauma (to put it lightly) afterwards. To honor indigenous people who have fallen to events in history both current and past, I am choosing to celebrate Indigenous Americans day over thanksgiving.
That being said Wishing you a Indigenous Americans Day filled with food, family and Respect to American Natives who lost so much during this time of year.
