House of Xiong Fashion I am a fashion designer and a model that dabbles in photography. In this house, I do everything! I am a self-taught designer.

I started this page to share my projects and designs in hope that I can improve and and inspire myself to keep challenging myself. Though my page is "Sew Hmong" it does not mean that all my stuff are Hmong related. I am Hmong and am inspired my the Hmong elements that makes me who I am as a designer. For years, I have driven by this house with a huge thick patch of hostas underneath some huge trees, and thought it would make for a cool photo shoot. I later met Lorena Somers Makeup who just so happened to be the owner of this house, and she so graciously let us do a photoshoot in the hostas!

As a novice at photography, this challenge was definitely challenging for me considering we were shooting outdoors in the middle of the day when the sun was shining brightly above us. I have very little experience shooting natural light photography because I have done mostly indoors shoots in a controlled environment. I've learned a lot from this experience and will continue to learn. I just need more practice.

Thank you PKon Vang for collaborating with me on this project. I've always admired you as a designer because you create beautiful pieces with beautiful details!
