Precious are the bee pollinators...
I'll miss them as their season here has come to a close.

This summer, I took the time to learn more about the various species and draw them. So many bees, so little time! Last night we had a hard frost here in New Hampshire. The last few days they surely knew that frost was coming as they tried to get some last nectar from the marigolds.

Today, they are gone but not forgotten. Sleep well, queen bees until next spring.

I've been quiet lately, but still here!

The days are spent filling natural dye orders [thank you! see bio link], tending gardens, watching wildlife, getting firewood stacked for winter, practicing sketching and being with family and friends. It's been a very hot and dry summer, our part of New Hampshire is in a moderate drought now. But to every thing there is a season.... 💚 Be well
