Ok… you’ll need to examine these pictures carefully… this is a recreation of a great grandmother dress, to be made into a baptism dress for a tiny little 8 year old. We did modify the sleeves to be a bishops sleeve and the waistband was made as adjustable with elastic too. The cute little girl wanted to soften up the sleeve line with a pretty little flutter ruffle and then used the pearl appliqué instead of adding back again to the neckline we made it a hairclip instead.
Loooooved this sewing opportunity!! Thank you to the sweet little girl for sharing her design ideas with me and loved working with mom and grandma!!

This was a sweet bride to work with. She wanted alterations made to fix alterations that were already done by a previous seamstress. The few things that needed fixed were fixing sleeve cuffs, new cap sleeves underneath the sheer long bishop sleeves, and re hemmed- (the other hem previously sewn wasn’t enough) and I also made a multipoint claw/clasp French bustle.

Brides are the cutest to work with!!! This sweet bride wanted to change the neckline from a high round neckline to a shallow “V” neckline. What a wonderful choice - I think the V was a much better look not only for the bride but it made the dress so much prettier! Thank you for the opportunity to work with you!!

This wonderful dress was too big in the bodice and hips. We sized this gown down and hand stitched all the appliqué. What a lovely bride to work with too!! Thank you for letting me be a small part of your special wedding day.

This has to be my most favorite part of doing alterations… recreating a baby blessing dress out of the momma’s wedding gown- I love doing a “mini-me” version.
The dress was a creative replica of mom’s dress, but we also made bloomers and head bow too.

Cutest little bridesmaid/flower girls dress- this darling girl had a dress about 2 sizes too large for her- I was able to resize it to fit properly and added an organza petticoat on the lining.

LACE LACE LACE… this gorgeous gown was extremely challenging- I needed to make the bodice smaller which took special skill and technique that isn’t needed for all alterations- this beautiful bride was so petite that it took creativity to get the correct shape and style.
We also added a hoop skirt… many brides worry that a petticoat will make them feel like a “I Love Lucy Blooper” but honestly petticoats are very underrated!
I loved working with this bride and wish her so much joy in her new chapter!!
