PSA: We will close early (at 5:30) on Friday July 3 for an important reason I promise.
Grandpa Ted, Grandma Betty, Uncle Ted, Dad, and Uncle Jerry once lived in the Kemp house on 9th and Grant (Joseph Kemp's house). Imagine that! How awesome! Years later, I was able to purchase some smalls and a shelf or so from the Kemp estate (an estate sale in August 2021 or so)... with that said, Kell House is opening a room dedicated to the Kemp family (Joseph Kemp and his wife, etc.). I was able to donate the items to them in honor of Grandpa, Grandma, Dad, Uncle Jerry, and Mama and courtesy of Uncle Ted, Aunt Vicki, and the Bates family (me and the boys).
The Kemp room is opening Friday July 3 at 6:00 PM (which is why I am closing at 5:30). We would love as a store and family to support Kell House Museum and the Wichita County Historical Society.
If you get a chance, please come see this beautiful home. Really come anytime they are open and see all they have done to preserve history. They are truly doing an amazing job.
