Taylor is one of the latter. Libbi has known her since the day she was born, growing up together at the lake, in the same neighborhood, running around as kids in the way only lifelong friends do. So when Taylor asked Libbi to design her reception dress, it wasn't just another custom gown for Libbi, it was their whole history coming together.
Taylor knew exactly what she wanted. Western, but glamorous. She brought in inspiration from all over and asked Libbi to pull the pieces she loved most into one look that felt completely hers.
Taylor also wanted something she could wear again and again, so we didn't build one dress. We built pieces. A top, a mini skirt, and a detachable bow, each one designed to be worn long after the wedding is over. Pull the bow for date night, restyle the skirt a dozen different ways, wear the corset with jeans -that's the beauty of convertible coutureā¦ it doesn't end when the reception does.
Getting to create something this personal, for someone Libbi has loved her whole life? That's the kind of gown you don't forget.
