Back-to-School Blessings!

His Helping Hands was honored to be at Ortiz Elementary School helping students get ready for a successful school year by providing backpacks and school supplies to children who needed a little extra support.

Thank you, ICT Food Rescue, for your partnership in helping us serve those in need. We are grateful for your generosity and commitment to making a difference in our community.

This is Wichita taking care of Wichita. 🌱❤️

Last week, this beautiful locally grown produce was dropped off at Woodard Mercantile through the Plant A Row Program. From there, one of our volunteers picked it up and delivered it directly to His Helping Hands, where it could help serve neighbors experiencing food insecurity.

Plant A Row is such a simple example of how connected our community is. Local nurseries and garden centers open their doors as drop-off locations for area gardeners, and three times each week, ICT Food Rescue volunteers pick up that produce and deliver it directly to local nonprofits.

🌱 Gardeners grow it.
📍 Local businesses provide a place to share it.
🚗 Volunteers move it.
❤️ Local nonprofits put it to good use.

And a special shoutout to the staff and volunteers at His Helping Hands! Whether it’s Plant A Row produce or another food rescue coming their way, they are always so helpful when our volunteers arrive with donations. We appreciate you!
