Project SALT

Project SALT Hours: Monday through Friday 10-3. Where: On the corner of Tegner and Coconino Streets at 73 S Tegner St. Wickenburg, Arizona 85390. How do you qualify? No!

We're organization that strives to provide food & clothing for those in need in & around Wickenburg

You can help support us and our mission by donating now at Projectsaltwickenburg.com If you’re hungry, need clothing … you qualify. Simple as that. How often can I visit? You may ‘SHOP’ Project SALT TWICE a month for ONE prepacked food box and ONE bag of clothing per visit. The size of the clothing

bag and food box are determined by the Project SALT volunteers. You may VISIT every day for fellowship, prayer, cold water, sack lunches or to get out of the elements. What do we do? We are an outreach ministry seperate from any church spreading the love of Jesus to Wickenburg and the surrounding area. We offer a community food bank, community clothing closet, and small housewares room. PLEASE NOTE THIS SERVICE CHANGE EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY:
We are unable to provide assistance with DES (food stamps or AHCCCS), state identification or birth certificates going forward. I would encourage you all to contact DES and let them know a DES employee needs to resume visiting Wickenburg regularly like they did pre-covid. Unfortunately, Project SALT cannot fill this void. Help with ID and birth certificates can be found in the valley through a wonderful nonprofit called the Homeless ID Project. Volunteers at Project SALT can provide info for this organization. Is there a fee? All goods and services offered through Project SALT are FREE. Donations:
Please visit the Donation page of the Project SALT website for a list of donations we can accept. Please do not leave donations outside at the Project SALT office or at The Place Church. We accept donations of nonperishable foods, gently used clothing, and acceptable housewares at the Project SALT office during business hours. Feel free to drop off donations at The Place Church during their regular business hours. Items of nonperishable food donations may be left in the collection area in the sanctuary. Thank you!

🌊 Project SALT — SWIMSUIT DONATION DRIVE in partnership with the Wickenburg Parks, Rec, and Pool & the Town of Wickenburg, AZ - Your Local Government 🩱🩳✨

Hey friends! We’ve been given an awesome opportunity to love on our community in a super practical way this summer.

The Wickenburg Pool is launching a “Swim Suit Blessing Box” — a simple, dignity-focused way to make sure every kid, teen, and adult who wants to swim can enjoy the pool without being turned away for not having proper swimwear.

Project SALT will be collecting:

✅ New & gently used swimsuits (nylon or polyester material only)
— BIG need: all sizes of boys & men’s suits
— Extra emphasis: men’s swim shirts/rash guards
— All sizes of girls’ suits
— Towels welcome too!

These will go directly into the Blessing Boxes at the pool so anyone can take what they need, no questions asked. ❤️

This is such a beautiful chance to remove barriers, give kids a fun summer, and show love in a practical way.

If you’d like to donate, you can drop items off any time during regular Project SALT hours.

☀️ Let’s make summer fun & accessible for EVERY family.
🫶 Thank you for being a community that consistently shows up!

Also don't forget Free Family Swim Wednesday nights 7pm - 9pm starting June

From the leaders of our yardsale crew at Project SALT. We are so blessed to have them part of SALT. A portion of every yardsale goes to a community fund we established for the betterment of youth and community events. Thank you for all your hard work Ray & Donna.

"With tomorrow being the last “yard sale” of the season, we would like to thank the board for allowing us to serve Project Salt in this area.

We learned a great deal this first season and are confident that we can accomplish even greater things helping Project Salt and our community.

Grand Opening will be Saturday - October 17th.

Thank you again for giving us the opportunity to be a part of this organization.

May God bless 🙏
Donna & Ray"

Project SALT – Community Update & Fire Response

Our hearts are with every family affected by the recent fire in Wickenburg. As a community we’ve lost multiple structures, and 26 of our neighbors are currently displaced.

DESTROYED
11 RVs
1 Foundation structure
7 Vehicles
2 Utility Trailers

DAMAGED
2 RVs
1 Vehicle
1 Building

Project SALT is here to stand in the gap and help however we can.

Right now, the most important first step for anyone impacted is this:

➡️ Call 1-800-RED-CROSS to open a case.

This single step helps the American Red Cross understand your needs AND allows all local support groups to know how to help you directly.

---

Shelter & Support Update

The Red Cross shelter is relocating from the high school to a unified Disaster Support Center & Shelter at:
📍 246 N. Washington
(Old Wise Owl/Old Fire Station)
This will make it easier for displaced families to access services, support, and answers in one place.

---

Community Gratitude

We want to thank:

❤️ Our first responders — your courage and fast action protected lives.
❤️ Wickenburg Unified School District — for stepping up instantly, offering space, transportation, and support.
❤️ The Town of Wickenburg — for coordinating efforts and rallying together.
❤️ Local churches & businesses — who continue to show up with compassion, donations, and manpower.

This community knows how to serve, and it shows.

---

How Project SALT Will Help Moving Forward

Project SALT will continue to:

✔️ Support families impacted by the fire
✔️ Serve as a middle-man when needed
✔️ Connect needs to the right people and organizations
✔️ Share updates on supplies, services, and ways our community can help

We’ll keep walking with these families through the recovery process — one need at a time, one day at a time.

If you or someone you know needs assistance, please start by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS. And if you’re wanting to help, stay tuned — we’ll post needs as they come in.

We are Wickenburg strong.
And together, we’ll get through this.
