Project SALT

Project SALT Hours: Monday through Friday 10-3. Where: On the corner of Tegner and Coconino Streets at 73 S Tegner St. Wickenburg, Arizona 85390. How do you qualify? No!

We're organization that strives to provide food & clothing for those in need in & around Wickenburg

You can help support us and our mission by donating now at Projectsaltwickenburg.com If you’re hungry, need clothing … you qualify. Simple as that. How often can I visit? You may ‘SHOP’ Project SALT TWICE a month for ONE prepacked food box and ONE bag of clothing per visit. The size of the clothing

bag and food box are determined by the Project SALT volunteers. You may VISIT every day for fellowship, prayer, cold water, sack lunches or to get out of the elements. What do we do? We are an outreach ministry seperate from any church spreading the love of Jesus to Wickenburg and the surrounding area. We offer a community food bank, community clothing closet, and small housewares room. PLEASE NOTE THIS SERVICE CHANGE EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY:
We are unable to provide assistance with DES (food stamps or AHCCCS), state identification or birth certificates going forward. I would encourage you all to contact DES and let them know a DES employee needs to resume visiting Wickenburg regularly like they did pre-covid. Unfortunately, Project SALT cannot fill this void. Help with ID and birth certificates can be found in the valley through a wonderful nonprofit called the Homeless ID Project. Volunteers at Project SALT can provide info for this organization. Is there a fee? All goods and services offered through Project SALT are FREE. Donations:
Please visit the Donation page of the Project SALT website for a list of donations we can accept. Please do not leave donations outside at the Project SALT office or at The Place Church. We accept donations of nonperishable foods, gently used clothing, and acceptable housewares at the Project SALT office during business hours. Feel free to drop off donations at The Place Church during their regular business hours. Items of nonperishable food donations may be left in the collection area in the sanctuary. Thank you!

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF GILLY: PROJECT SALT EDITION 🌈🫧🚚

Come run errands with me! 😂

The day starts with the most important decision of the morning… which shorts + tie-dye combo am I wearing today? Add in the mismatched shoes and we’re ready to roll. 👖🌈👟

Then it’s out to my wonderfully colorful truck, Happy, to hit the road and run some errands for Project SALT.

First stop: Walmart in Surprise for a quick pickup.

Then it’s off to Sam’s Club for the big load — tuna, beans, oatmeal, noodles, sauce, jelly and more. Basically, if it can help fill a food box, it’s probably going in the cart. 🛒❤️

But before we get too far down the road…

🚦 RED LIGHT = BUBBLE BREAK.

The Bubble Man’s bubble gun stays READY. 🫧😂
Seriously… don’t leave home without it.

Now it’s time to head back toward Wickenburg, but obviously we need fuel for the road. So we make a quick stop at the Lord’s Chicken — Chick-fil-A for a spicy chicken biscuit, lemonade and… wait… CHICKEN & WAFFLES?!

Well, I mean… we had to. 😂

Back to Wickenburg, but we’re not going to SALT just yet.

Next stop: our dear friends at Maverik, who generously donate sandwiches and other food they can no longer sell but is still perfectly good to eat. Instead of it going to waste, it gets another chance to feed somebody. ❤️

Then it’s over to The Place Church, one of our biggest supporters, to pick up after-hours donations that someone left for me.

And finally…

PROJECT SALT. 🥫❤️

This is where the real work begins.

Friends like Bill, Cody, Michelle & her daughter Krystena, Wendy, Bev, Dana and so many others jump in to help unload everything, stock the shelves and get it ready to go.

And eventually, all those cans, boxes, bags and donations become something much bigger…

FOOD BOXES FOR FAMILIES RIGHT HERE IN AND AROUND WICKENBURG.

This is what your support goes to.

Every donation.
Every volunteer hour.
Every food drive.
Every box packed.
Every person who says, “How can I help?”

It all adds up.

Because of YOU, I get to spend my days doing this.

Running around in mismatched shoes, driving a ridiculous colorful truck, shooting bubbles at red lights 😂… and most importantly, helping families who need a little extra help.

So thank you for being part of Project SALT.

This is what happens when a bunch of good people decide to help each other. 🌈❤️

Last free family swim is tonight! Its been a wonderful summer!

Great news! We’re extending pool season into September! ☀️

For the first time ever, we’re excited to keep the pool open into September! While our September schedule will look a little different from August, we’re thrilled to continue offering opportunities to enjoy the pool, including lap swim, water aerobics, and a day of open swim each week.

We’re so happy to be able to give our community a little more time in the water this year! 💦❤️

💙 BIG NEWS, WICKENBURG! 💙

Project SALT’s brand-new website is officially LIVE - making it easier than ever to get help, request prayer, volunteer, donate, sponsor a program, and support neighbors throughout our community.

Project SALT provides food boxes, sack lunches, clothing, hygiene products, household essentials, baby and pet supplies, water, emergency relief, prayer, and compassionate support. Every supply, service, and form of assistance provided at its Tegner Street location is completely free of charge.

🙏 The new online Prayer Request is now live.

💧 Project SALT is also a certified and registered Hydration Station and Cooling Center within the Maricopa County Heat Relief Network, providing 24/7 access to clean drinking water and a safe, air-conditioned place to escape Wickenburg’s extreme summer heat during regular business hours.

A huge shout-out goes to Board President Chris Strale, his wife Traci, Gilly Pollard, and the entire volunteer team for continually finding creative, effective ways to turn community support into real results.

This is faith in action - showing up, serving others, and loving our neighbors in practical ways.

🌞 July Community Impact Recap 🌞

Because of YOU, Project SALT continues to make a difference right here in our community. Every food donation, volunteer hour, share, prayer, and dollar given helps us bring hope to families who need it most.

💚 Here's what we accomplished together this month:

🥫 200 Food Boxes distributed
🥪 117 Sack Lunches served
👕 446 Clothing Visits
🏠 261 Households Helped

These aren't just numbers—they're families who had food on the table, kids who found clothes that fit, and neighbors who were reminded they aren't alone.

From the bottom of our hearts... THANK YOU for believing in our mission. Together we're proving that when a community comes together with compassion, incredible things happen.

If you'd like to be part of what we're doing, we'd love to have you! Whether you volunteer, donate, or simply help spread the word, you're helping us serve Wickenburg and the surrounding communities.

☀️ Serving And Loving Together.

This past week's Christmas in July was one we'll never forget, and it's all because of this amazing community. ❤️🎄

A HUGE thank you to the wonderful residents of Wickenburg who donated toys. Because of your generosity, we were able to hand out over 200 gifts to local kids this past Wednesday. The smiles, excitement, and joy on their faces were priceless.

A special thank you to Desert Mirage Home Health for partnering with us. They provide compassionate in-home support services for seniors and adults with disabilities through private pay services. (Info in the comments)

We also want to thank an anonymous donor who generously covered much of cost for snacks for the event. Your kindness helped make the day even sweeter. Thank you, friend! 💙

And finally, thank you to everyone who supports Project SALT throughout the year. Whether you donate, volunteer, share our posts, or simply cheer us on, you are part of every life we touch.

To the incredible Gilly & Friends crew—you show up, serve with love, and make moments like this possible. We couldn't do it without you. From helping at the concert "Gilly's Grateful Day" which helped make this happen, to serving with the kids this past week. You always show up!

This is what community looks like. Neighbors helping neighbors. Thank you, Wickenburg for reminding us that kindness is contagious. ✌️❤️🎁
