I’m well aware that this video is too long for most attention spans on Instagram. We live in a fast paced, quick content world. Occasionally I’m guilty of speed doom-scrolling, but I do generally prefer long form content. That is why I’m dipping my toe in the water of dragging out a reel to see if I potentially want to switch over to YouTube creation. I need an outlet to ramble on and on about the things I love, which (as you know) has a primary focus on vintage clothing. I’d like to do this as a creative outlet first and then start selling clothes again when my passion/motivation restores itself fully. We’re getting there.
I’ve been really feeling gloomy lately, so I decided to post this in order to spark some joy for myself. Views and likes don’t matter. The algorithm is silly and the pressure to be perfect is even sillier, which can be tough to remember sometimes. Hopefully you enjoy the bare bones lack of editing. No added music or filters, barely any text or effects. I’m taking the stress out of it for myself and hopefully that translates in a positive way. Honestly, I prefer consuming bare bones content anyway!
Let me know your favorite piece in the comments, and also let me know if you prefer speedy content like TikTok or longer content ala YouTube.
Hope everyone is dealing with their seasonal gloomies in a healthy way. I know it sucks. Maybe go buy an ostrich feather hat and wear it around your house like I am 🫶
