The second edition of Zero Waste Fashion by & is now available!

The new cover features the scrubs that are open source on my website, also seen in the Design and Healing exhibition at earlier this year. More work can be found inside the pages alongside designers who I admire and respect.

A little peek into the process behind the squiggle pant! 🙂🙃 I love starting with pattern sketches and mini paper forms to play with volume and form. I iterated with 4 fabric variations because I couldn't choose just one! Finding the perfect double sided fabric and picking finishing details was so much fun!

The x DECODE *Building Positive Space* Zero Waste collection is now ⚡ live ⚡ on DECODE SUPPLY.

Our Zero Waste, Blockchain enabled Garments are the ultimate collaboration of sustainability, transparency, and verification.

When approached by Danielle Elsener, Bryce was sold on the unique premise: taking transparent manufacturing, Zero Waste Apparel and blockchain technology to a whole new level. In addition to offering a tokenized membership for Bryce, these blockchain-enabled garments will debut the world’s first ever Zero Waste certified product, paired with next-level proof of location.

This drop features a Zero Waste hoodie, sweatpant, and long sleeve, Bryce brings his signature style, depicting the blurred gradient between nature and happiness, using floral and smiley iconography. Each piece is manufactured and certified in DECODE’s Brooklyn workshop. A limited hand-dyed Chamomile colorway is also available.

*Building Positive Space*
A first look at the Zero Waste, on chain, traceable blockchain collection with artist

DECODE founder Danielle gives insight to the concept behind this collection, saying
"Zero Waste faces the same problems as any sustainable initiative: non-transparent business practices through greenwashing, and a constant focus on the negative. That’s why I describe my process as rearranging negative space in patterns until everything becomes positive space. It brings a much needed positive spin to the way we talk about sustainability in fashion.”

As for transparency, DECODE has teamed up to pair their new on-chain Zero Waste Certification with FOAM’s cutting edge proof of location protocol. With these certifications accessible via physical NFT chips from chip-designer KONG through IYK’s software experience, the experience is like no other.

“Nothing about Web3 is set in stone yet. It’s all about experimenting and innovating. My job is to work with others to find new and innovative ways to push Web3 design and interaction. Since most Web3 fashion projects focus on a digital format, the digital/physical blend that DECODE was proposing felt super fresh. Plus, I know they like to have fun!” - Bryce Wong

The drop kicks off Friday, December 9th at 12 PM EST through Sunday, December 18th on DECODE SUPPLY. All pieces are manufactured at DECODE’s manufacturing hub in Brooklyn, NY.

Introducing: Construction Orange! Our new collection of RTW zero waste essentials is launching this Friday, and with it we are launching some !! new colours !! Colour is such an important part of our brand and what better way to start off the new batch than with such an iconic NYC colour? Construction orange will be available in all our base shapes, including shorts, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and joggers.

Have you ever wondered about our happy/sad smiley logo? We feel it is a manifestation of our perspective around Zero Waste Design and sustainability in the fashion industry overall. We want to take the negativity, struggle, and worry that often comes up in conversations around zero waste, and transform that into positivity, joy, and focus on the future! Zero waste doesn’t have to be hard- we have so many solutions and ideas to share- we believe there can and will be change in the fashion industry!

Sometimes it can be hard to visualise zero waste design, so we tried printing a pattern- cut lines and all- directly onto the scarf we were using to make a pair of shorts! The result is so cool, and we love how it really shows the process. You can see if you cut and sew the scarf, you end up with cute lil shorts✨
The tool to make your own shorts is available on my website, and you can absolutely apply it to any piece of fabric, but we would especially love to see you using it on other vintage and unique scarves! Please tag us in your makes! #
