Retro Rack is OPEN even though road work has the street in front of the store Closed! Sidewalks are passable and the vintage is STOCKED! Hours today til 7! We’ll even pay for you to park with your purchase!

ATTN DOWNTOWN!! We have news of a road resurfacing beginning next week for West 4th Street people, from Market Street west to Hepburn Street!

We plan to share additional details as we receive them, as this is all the information we’ve been provided so far. We’ll also share any resources we can to help navigate the project. We look forward to a nicely resurfaced road! Better roads lead to a more accessible downtown, so we appreciate everyone’s patience and support for our downtown businesses while this project is underway.

Betsy was always a wonderful part of our condolences to her family and our friends at Otto Bookstore , proudly continuing her legacy.

We are saddened to announce the passing of Betsy Rider, who died today at the age of 91. For decades, Betsy and the Rider family were at the heart of the Otto Bookstore and downtown Williamsport. After taking over the store in 1958 from her father, she shared her deep love of books with generations of readers through her radio book reviews, her cherished annual reading of "The Night Before Christmas," and her joy in introducing children to the magic of reading. Her lifelong dedication to the bookstore and the Williamsport community leaves a lasting legacy that will be remembered by generations of readers. We are grateful for all she gave to the Otto Bookstore and the community. Our thoughts are with her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.
