While building JANE Boutique we spent countless hours pouring over every detail and thinking about how we wanted the space to feel and perform. One of the places we spent the most time thinking about was the fitting room. We knew we wanted our fitting rooms to feel both intimate and joyful. A place where women could come together and shop with family and friends. Rooms big enough that someone could feel comfortable staying in a fitting room without the pressure of coming out. But a space inviting enough that anyone could share their favorite finds, or ask for styling advice. We love when our customers invite us into helping them get styled for upcoming events!
We focused on finding the perfect lighting, the right wall paper, doors with privacy but with enough room that we could still have a conversation. We thought about hook placement and hook height. It's crazy to reflect back on how much time and attention we put into getting all the details right. But in hindsight getting every detail was so worth it. The fitting rooms have become one of my favorite spaces in the store. It’s where we get to truly know our customers. Celebrating new jobs, weddings, vacations, birthdays, baby showers, and all the moments in between. Some of our favorite conversations and memories have happened right here between mirrors and clothing racks.
We appreciate each and every one of you who has walked through our doors and allowed us to help you get ready for the special moments in your lives. What started as carefully designed fitting rooms became something so much more. A space for connection, confidence, friendship, and community.
And to us, that’s what JANE has always been about.
