Well... chicken math strikes again, but with a funny little twist! 🤭

​Remember sweet little Fancy Pants? (He's the black and white handsome guy strutting his stuff in the video!) Turns out "Fancy" is actually a very confident young man who woke up at 4 weeks old and said, "Actually, I'm the boss." 👑

​As much as we love his little personality, our coop is full up on roosters, so Fancy Pants is officially looking for a new flock to reign over! He’s a sweet, gorgeous Ameraucana boy who deserves a great home with some ladies to keep in line.

​Meet Fancy. Four weeks ago, we were pretty sure Fancy was a "she." Today? Fancy has officially decided he identifies as a Handsome Young Gentleman who is ready to rule a flock of his very own! 👑✨

​He is a gorgeous 4-week-old Ameraucana (we believe!), super sweet, but unfortunately, we just can't keep another roo in our current setup. That means Fancy has officially taken the title of our very first available rooster looking for his forever home!

​There is something so incredibly beautiful about reaching a point where you just appreciate the simple things in life. Give me a quiet morning, a warm cup of coffee, a peaceful yard, and my sweet flock clucking around my feet, and I am completely content.

I started with one single baby chick when she was just about 6 hours old... 🐣

​Two weeks later, I got another one.

​Three days later, I got 4 more. (Hey, they needed friends, right?! 🤷‍♀️)

​Then 4 weeks later, I brought home 3 more and officially ordered an Ayam Cemani Rooster from a local breeder! 🤭

​So, let's do some chicken math... how many is that?!

​That makes 9 beautiful babies currently ruling the roost! We are just waiting for little Pepe Lepew to get big enough to come home, which will bring our grand total to 10. The flock is officially complete... for now! 😉

​I never knew that these sweet birds could bring so much absolute joy to our lives, and I am so incredibly thankful for that very first chicken that started it all.
