Confession…

I only meant to make one Christmas bundle.

Then I found another fabric I loved.

Then another.

And somehow…

There are now 10 Christmas Just Add Thread bundles sitting in my sewing room.

Honestly?

I’m not mad about it. ❤️

One of my favorite parts of quilting isn’t sewing.

It’s pulling fabrics together and watching a bundle come to life.

Because I’ve learned something over the years…

The hardest part of quilting usually isn’t stitching the quilt.

It’s standing in front of a wall of fabric wondering…

“Do these actually go together?”

That’s why I love creating these bundles.

You can skip the second-guessing and get straight to the fun part.

Making the quilt.

✨ So tell me…

I told myself I was only going to put together one new Just Add Thread bundle.

Then another color combination caught my eye.

Then another.

And before I knew it, my cutting table was covered in little stacks of fabric that somehow all felt like summer.

Some remind me of a front porch after dinner.

Some feel like fireworks and family picnics.

Some just made me smile.

So... I kept going.

The new Classic Americana Just Add Thread collections are finally ready, and I can't wait to see which one feels like you.

Which bundle would you pick first?

I promise I’m never trying to be mean… but apparently my face likes to join the conversation before my mouth does. 😂

Please tell me I’m not the only one who has an accidental “quilter face.”

Have you ever looked at a fabric combination and immediately thought, “Well… that’s a choice”? 🤭

While sewing today, I got stuck.

Not on the pattern.

Not on the fabric.

Just in my own thoughts.

I was looking at all these little pieces spread across my table and honestly, they didn’t look like much.

Just scraps.

Random shapes.

Nothing that would make anyone stop and say, “Wow, that’s beautiful.”

But I kept sewing anyway.

Piece by piece.

Row by row.

Something started to happen.

The chaos began to make sense.

The pieces that looked disconnected suddenly belonged together.

And it made me wonder how many times life is exactly like that.

How often do we look at a difficult season and think, This doesn’t make sense. This isn’t going anywhere.

When really, we’re just too close to see what it’s becoming.

Maybe the beautiful part isn’t knowing how everything turns out.

Maybe it’s trusting that today’s pieces are becoming part of something bigger than we can see right now.

❤️

Somewhere in your sewing room is a quilt that deserves to be finished.

And somewhere in your life is a person who deserves to receive it.

That’s what Quilting Your Legacy is all about.

Finishing the quilts.

Sharing the love.

Creating something that lasts long after we’re gone.

Come sew with me. ❤️

Last night I started noticing hearts.

Not the kind someone leaves on a text message.

The kind that quietly show up in unexpected places. A shadow on the wall. A shape in nature. A reminder.

For a long time, I thought healing meant learning how to leave grief behind.

Now I think it means something different.

I think it means carrying love forward.

The story changed.

The love didn’t.

The people we lose become part of us. Part of how we love. Part of how we see beauty. Part of how we keep going when life doesn’t look the way we imagined.

Maybe that’s why these little hearts caught my attention.

Or maybe they were simply a reminder that love leaves its fingerprints everywhere.

❤️

I need your help, quilters.

If this were your Gallant quilt, which border would you choose?

The flowers or the waves?

Honestly, I’m leaning toward the waves, but every time I look at the flowers, I start second-guessing myself.

One of my favorite things about Gallant is how a simple border change can completely change the personality of the quilt. Same pattern. Same fabrics. Totally different feel.

I’ll be sharing another Gallant sew-along update on YouTube this week, and I can’t wait to show you how it’s coming together.

And if you’d like to make one alongside me, I still have a few Gallant Quilt Kits available in this exact colorway.

So tell me…

Flowers or waves?

Some days, the sewing machine does more than make quilts.

It quiets the noise.

It gives your hands something to do while your mind slows down.

It reminds you that one stitch at a time is still progress.

Today it’s just me, George keeping watch from his chair, a stack of fabric waiting to be sewn, and a good song playing in the background.

Nothing fancy.

Just a good day to make something with your hands. ❤️

Who keeps you company while you sew? A dog, a cat, a spouse… or just the sound of the machine?
