Zipper Repair on Rifle Case:
Before, during, sewing and completed.

The zipper was a weak molded pot metal one that easily broke in two. Replaced with an all metal Jeep zipper.

The real shirt is in progress!!! Even though I did my mock up, I still made a mistake on this but I don't think it will be evident on the final piece. Just something else I've learned for next time.

Sew, I've wanted to make a shirt for Denzil for a long time. 10 years? Time is going so fast. I found the pattern and had purchased the muslin, Aunt Betty always said to make one of those first and I now understand why, and got the final fabric as well.
I copied and enlarged the pattern early on but the got scared to do it.
I worked on a few pieces but never got back to it.
Insecurity? Yes
Inexperienced? Yes
Depression? Probably
Life in general? Yes

Well, I got back to it only to find the pieces were to large as hubby had lost weight and I had to use the original pattern. Guess what? I finished my muslin!

The edges are raw , as I didn't hem any of it, it looks like a robe in the pic but it is longer for taller men and I didn't put buttons on this one.

Felling accomplished today. Thursday I start on the real thing!

Finally finished my own bag!
