imum customer comfort and satisfaction. Wright founded the store in 1935 at 109 West Ninth Street. By 1952, the business was ready for new quarters. The new store, at the present location of 911 North Market Street, was designed as one of the most outstanding stores in the country devoted exclusively to the sale of fine clothing for men. Featuring special emphasis on the comfort and convenience of patrons, the store extends across from Market Street to Shipley Street, with entrances and display windows on both streets. Displays and fitting rooms are on the first floor, with the tailoring and alterations department and the business offices occupying the second floor. Wright & Simon prides itself on carrying the finest nationally advertised brands of men’s clothing, brands that are America’s classics, the acknowledged leaders – brands such as Burberry, Oxxford, Hart Schaffner and Marx, Hickey Freeman, Forsythe of Canada, H. Freeman of Philadelphia, Hathaway, Countess Mara, Pringle of Scotland, Palm Beach. Master tailors, fitters, and alteration experts of high repute and long experience ensure that all work meets the highest expectations of their crafts.
