Meet Brigde Weatherington of Stokes, NC — a woman with a giving heart and a genuine passion for helping others.

Brigde is one of those people who gives her time, her energy, and herself to her community simply because she believes in being there for people. Her dedication to volunteering and serving others is exactly the kind of leadership that deserves to be celebrated.

I’m incredibly excited to be presenting “Anchor Your Wellness: My Journey Through Mental Health, Burnout & Compassion Fatigue” at the 2026 Women’s LeadHERship Conference hosted by the Greater Greenville Chamber.

This year’s theme is BUILD WHAT MATTERS, and I can’t think of a more important conversation for women who spend so much of their lives leading, serving, caring for others, building careers, raising families, and trying to hold everything together.

During my session, I’ll be sharing some of my own journey with mental health, burnout and compassion fatigue — and introducing my MEDS approach to sustained strength:

😴 Sleep — Restore your soul

A Beaufort County, NC native, Ashley O’Neal Gregory has turned unimaginable loss into a mission of hope. After the death of her fiancé, Keith, she became a passionate advocate for su***de prevention and mental health awareness, dedicating her life to helping others navigate grief and find support.

Ashley is a collaborating author of Grief Is Not a Deadline: Stories of Love, Loss and Learning to Say Goodbye, now available on Amazon, and she’s preparing to release her children’s book, Hope Still Exists, later this year—a resource designed to help adults have compassionate conversations with children after a su***de loss.

Ashley is active in her community through the Beaufort County Behavioral Health Task Force. She is also becoming a QPR Gatekeeper so she can teach others how to recognize the warning signs of su***de and how to help someone in crisis.

We’re incredibly proud to have Ashley represent Pirate Anne. She embodies courage, compassion, resilience, and the belief that even in life’s darkest moments, hope still exists. She is everything Pirate Anne stands for ❤️ 🏴‍☠️
