Sacred Possessions

Sacred Possessions “We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children." Why Sacred Possessions?

Sacred Possessions builds cause-related lifestyles that are going to help Save the Planet! Well, as the Native saying goes, “We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children.” So, we believe there is no more important possession, and no more sacred a trust, than trying to return the planet in better condition than we received it (basically, it’s stuff we care about a

lot!)

What’s a holding company? Really just a place to store our gear, which will not only be ethically-produced, and environmentally-friendly, but often made from the very materials we recycled to help clean the ocean and land (talk about Karma!)

But, we’re not stopping there (no half measures for us) a portion of the proceeds from each sale are going to political and ecological efforts to solve; plastic in the ocean, air and water pollution, as well as, deforestation and climate change.

Change Your Mind, Habits, and Clothes, and Help Us Save Our Planet.

73% of consumers say they would change their habits to reduce their environmental impact, and 34% are more likely to buy products with sustainable credentials. 88% of consumers are more likely to be loyal to companies that support social and environmental causes.

Consumers increasingly expect brands to be transparent about their social and environmental efforts and to take a leadership role in addressing issues like climate change.

Wet Tribe clothing conforms to our strongly held beliefs in protecting our ocean. Made from bamboo and h**p, they are organic and microplastic-free. There is nothing imitation or false about it, from manufacturing and design to the wearers themselves. All our products are sustainable, or made from the very ocean plastic we recover, with a portion of the proceeds going to raise awareness, change behavior, and turn the tide on pollution, in a transformative movement to save the planet, and ourselves.

All Sacred Possessions upcycled hard products, such as water bottles, sunglasses, and beads, are made from the ocean-bound and ocean plastic we recover, while our soft products, like clothing, bags, and totes, are organic and sustainable.

Synthetic textiles release plastic microfibers when washed, or even worn, while cotton can be both water- and chemical-intensive to grow. However, bamboo and h**p are both grown organically and do not require insecticides or pesticides. Bamboo is one of the fastest-growing plants; a renewable and sustainable resource, using about 1/3 less water than cotton to grow. H**p is also extremely sustainable, using even less water, 1/20th the amount of cotton.

Sacred Possessions’ Wet Tribe brand clothing is truly worthy, conforming to our strongly held beliefs of protecting the oceans and the planet. There is nothing imitative or false about it, from manufacturing and designs to the wearers themselves.

Sargassum floating offshore supports marine life such as sea turtles, fish, and seabirds, acting as an ‘oasis’ in open waters. However, closer to shore, it can smother coral and seagrass, block turtle hatchlings, and release hydrogen sulfide and ammonia as it decays, posing health risks. Satellite data show a July decline in sargassum, though overall amounts remain unusually high compared with most previous years. Researchers stress that winds, currents, tides, and local marine conditions can still drive significant seaweed arrivals even as total biomass drops. 2026 is expected to be the second-largest sargassum year recorded, continuing heavy impacts on tourism, ecosystems, and coastal management. While sargassum levels drop, Caribbean beaching risk remains high.
