Good morning! As I take a break from convention season prep, I just want to remind my fellow artists that some days it’s okay to create just for the sake of creating. Not every thing you do has to be with a potential customer in mind. I have been seeing all these cute card binders on my reels lately and decided my own needed an upgrade. I’m super happy with how it came out and the few hours I spent working on it gave me a hit of dopamine I very much needed.

Two years ago, I took my first stab at a Pikachu pattern. I got both of these patterns around the same time, but the one I finished yesterday intimidated me. It had a lot more sewing and shaping than the one I made two years ago. I show these two photos side by side to show my growth in crochet. I’m so proud of how far I’ve come in this space.

I absolutely love to crochet and love that my makes are so well received alongside everything else I bring to shows. I just wish I could make more of it. Unfortunately, with every single stitch being done by hand, there’s only so much I can bring for any one show and when they’re gone, they’re gone. I’ve had handmade plushies in my booth for two years now and I have no plans of stopping any time soon.
