Cheers to you both as you celebrate your half-anniversary!

Phoebe had big dreams for her wedding and every detail was meticulously considered.
They were making plans to travel to Malta and say their vows in a stunning Olive Garden with picturesque views of Mdina . Her gown was carefully selected to reflect her inner self and embrace the romantic charm of the Old World setting. Her gown perfectly expressed her vision for her wedding day look. A bit of tailoring made it a perfect fit. Now she was ready for her walk down the aisle and into her happily ever after with Carter.

We tailored the gown in the small of her back for a sculpted fit that followed her curves and fit like a glove. The gown layers were hemmed with the varying terrain of her venue in mind. The gorgeous lace border was removed then repositioned to keep the authentic design of her gown while being sewn on at a length that was right for her. We finished the process of perfecting the fit of her gown with a 7 point bustle and a set of Boombas.

Oh how sweet it was to work with the daughter of a long time friend. Laura and I met in college and reconnected when we ran into each other years ago at the pool when our kids were in pre-school. I got to work with Claire over the years on her prom and homecoming dresses. So as she was planning her wedding, she knew who would take care of her and her most treasured dress to date. I was thrilled to work with Claire and Laura and to help them get ready for the most important day of Claire’s life!

Claire’s gown was almost a perfect fit. But almost perfect is not ready to walk down the aisle. So we got to work staring with a slight augmentation to her bust area. Her skirt layers were hemmed and trimmed as needed. We finished her alterations with a 4 point over bustle attached at her waist. It was lovely and perfect for her to dance the night away in the arms of her love.

“Our day was so perfect!! I’m appreciative of everything you did for my dress and my mom’s dress. We loved them both so much!”

A bridal gown is likely the most important garment a woman will ever wear. The way it fits is of primary importance to both me and the bride. Until her gown is fitted, a bride is not ready to walk down the. It’s an honor to be the chosen seamstress to work with a bride on her bridal gown. It’s a double honor when mom wants to be a part of the process and have her gown fitted as well. The Tabor ladies and I had so much fun along the way getting both gowns ready for the magical wedding day on her fiancées family farm.

Kati’s gown was unique and simply elegant. She chose a classic strapless gown with a trumpet silhouette. We lined the front bodice so she’d feel more comfortable and confident. The bust seams and bodice sides were tailored for a pretty fit. The skirt seams were also tailored for a comfortable fit as she moved through her special day. The gown was hemmed with her outdoor and indoor settings in mind. We completed her alterations with a simple one point over bustle.

Celebrating the newlyweds - Mr and Mrs Sherbert!

What an exciting holiday this will be for Lexie and Hunter. So many firsts are on the horizon and boy are they happy about it all.

Lexie and her mom came to fittings together. We had the loveliest time as we got Lexie’s gown ready for this very special day.
We started by tailoring the bust seams for a pretty fit. She wanted the upper edge of her gown to be a little more rounded like a sweetheart style, so we worked on creating that look for her. The under bust of the bodice was also tailored and boning added for extra support. The gown layers were hemmed to just hover above the ground. We completed our alterations with a stunning eight point over bustle that attached at her waist.

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Floyd!

Jessi and Harrison wanted a unique experience for their wedding. So they made plans to head west and say their vows on a Colorado mountain side with breathtaking views! The vastness of the landscape was a representation of the vastness of their love for each other. The natural setting was a mirror to the natural energy of their personalities and vibration. The crisp, pure air was symbolic of the refreshing air they feel when they are in each others’ presence. And the rain that fell on their wedding day… well, that was just a little gift from mother nature as she rained blessings down on this beautiful couple.

I enjoyed fittings with Jessi and learning a little bit more about her personal life. As a trauma nurse, she sees and processes so much as she helps people in dire need. She came in with the sweetest spirit and best attitude. We started the dress alterations by shortening the shoulder straps and moving them in for a secure fit at the perfect length. The bust area and bodice sides were tailored to give her a lovely and secure fit. The skirt sides were tailored to match the new bodice. Her gown was hemmed with their hike in the natural Colorado setting in mind. We added a simple five point over bustle that attached at her waist.

Best wishes to the Floyd’s for an amazing first Christmas together as husband and wife. May the new year bring a bounty of blessings to your marriage.

Cheers to the McMillans!
It’s official - this new chapter in their love story is being written and they are so excited about their future together. Take a moment with me to reflect on this glorious day just a few months ago as they prepare for their first holiday together as husband and wife.

Kayla found her perfect gown, and it was almost a perfect fit. We had to make a few minor repairs and the smallest of alterations to ensure she was ready for her walk down the aisle. We hemmed her gown short enough to help her feel secure and make sure she was ready for the varied terrain at her lovely venue grounds. We added a three point over bustle attached to her waist for the reception. And that was all that was needed. We had a lovely time at each fitting working to make sure her gown was ready and fit her beautifully.

Congratulations to the Sheehans!

Anna’s gown was pure glamour. She looked stunning with the strapless ruched bodice and high leg slit. Her train was sumptuous as it flowed out behind her. We made sure the fit was perfect so she could enjoy every bit of the day without fidgeting with her gown.

To achieve this perfect fit, we took the sides in at the waist to ensure a really snug fit and to keep the dress from slipping. Her dress layers were hemmed at the ground. The removable skirt was also hemmed to match the vibe of her bridal look. We completed her alterations with a perfect and lovely three point French bustle. Check this nifty little creation in her reception photos as she’s whirling around the dance floor.

Happy Half-Anniversary to Mr. and Mrs. Jones!
Their forever love story began on a warm summer day between bursts of sunshine and a pop up rain shower. It could not have been a more perfect day. It was a sweet day filled with special moments. Memories were made as the new chapter in their love story began to be written. Their love story continues to be written as they celebrate the first of many holidays together. So excited for them and all of the wonderful changes that will come in 2026.

We began getting Brianna‘s gown ready for this very special day by shortening the straps and repairing a few missing beads. The gown fit her really well, and so we only needed to do the smallest bits of tailoring to make it perfect. We removed a layer of crinoline to soften the flow of her skirt and reduce the volume. The dress layers were hemmed. Then we added a simple two point bustle to complete her alterations.

Congratulations to you both on a wonderful half anniversary that is full of blessings and joys coming in the new year!

Meet The Pinsons! Happy half anniversary. 🥂

Madison and her love were so excited for their wedding at the breathtaking Frost Chapel on the campus of Berry College in Rome. Looking through her photos has me pining for warm summer days and the loveliest wedding. Madison was stunning in her elegant satin ball gown. It was the perfect choice for the historically regal chapel where the couple would say their vows.

We begin perfecting the fit of Madison’s gown by tailoring the bodice sides and making adjustments in the fold-over arm wrap to match. The arm holes were too high and were scooped out to give her a more comfortable fit. A little bit of tailoring was done in the bust. Her ball gown was hemmed to graciously flow while barely brushing the floor. We completed her alterations with a simple yet lovely three point over bustle that attached at her waist.

Celebrating Mr. and Mrs. Hind!

Ashley‘s gown was simply perfect. It was delicate and elegant with a mix of lace and beadwork adorning the gown. We started by securing loose buttons and shortening the shoulder straps. A little bit of tailoring was done in her bust area for a beautiful fit. The skirt seams were tailored to fit her more comfortably through her thighs. Some custom bead work was done at her back near the zipper to fill in what we both thought was a bare spot in the design. We completed her alterations with a five point over bustle.
