Shambhala Farm Shop

Shambhala Farm Shop Farm to forehead! A sustainable headband company. We want our customers to look amazing and feel their best, while helping to care for our planet. Hi!

I’m so happy you’ve found Shambhala Farm Shoppe. My name is Nichole Lee and I’m a yoga teacher and yoga studio owner. I own/operate Shambhala Farm in the beautiful small town of Woodstock. I have a rad partner Matt and two giant, lovable dogs. I am a level one Reiki practitioner under the guidance of Reiki master Moira Notargiacomo and an Aromatherapy student at The School For Aromatic Studies in

Stuart, Virginia. Under normal circumstances, my yoga studio is open daily for yoga and meditation classes. However, life is anything but normal these days. Shambhala Farm is temporarily closed while the world plays out a global pandemic. What am I doing with my extra time? I’m making stuff! In need of a new quarantine hobby and wanting to do my small part to help during these difficult times, I bought a sewing machine and taught myself how to sew. I learned how to make face masks and have been giving them out for free to friends and family. Because the demand has been so high, I now have an online store in order to sell masks to everyone! In addition to making masks, I've created a line of sustainable headbands that are PERFECT for keeping your hair secure and looking cute while practicing yoga, exercising, or simply going about your day! Over time, Shambhala Farm Shoppe will expand and explore different creative endeavors. Outside of being a partner, dog mom, and yoga teacher, this is my creative outlet. I hope you enjoy.

I know I’ve been a bit quiet on social media lately… but life has been anything but quiet! My time has been filled to the brim with behind the scenes small business ownership stuff. It’s been a workout!

But I’m happy to report that I’ve finally finished the build phase of Shambhala Farm Shoppe and can now focus more on creativity, which I’m really excited about. Making things is where my heart is.

In the coming weeks I’ll be prepping to be a vendor at this years Woodstock Market on the Green! I’ll also be working on baby headbands, kid headbands, and market bags. Wait until you see these bags! 😍

Lots more to come - can’t wait to share it with you. Xoxo.

And yes, for those of you wondering - I did go back to my usual brunette. It’s not true what they say, I don’t think blondes have more fun! 😉 Click photo to shop this headband, it’s my fav.

Tomorrow is the day - The snow has melted, the birds are chirping, and the foxes are hanging about… it must be Spring! In belated celebration of solstice, tomorrow morning our new line of Spring face masks will be available for purchase on the Shambhala Farm Shoppe!

I had a lovely time sewing these masks. The delightful colors cheered me up these last two weeks during a bout of March doldrums. Picking out fabric, crafting, and sewing pretty things makes my heart happy. I hope you’ll feel that in this new collection.

From me to you, handmade with love.

As Spring approaches, I know a lot of you are ready to ditch your face masks. Warm weather and low Covid numbers are things to be celebrated! We should take this time to get outdoors, hug the humans we love, and enjoy the changing tide.

That said, it’s still a pandemic. There’s an ebb and a flow to this new normal that needs to be respected. Some months are going to feel wild and free! Other months we’ll need to reign it in and be mindful of ourselves and those around us. The practice of non-attachment will help.

With that in mind, I have a beautiful batch of handmade springtime accordion style face masks coming next week to the Shambhala Farm Shoppe! You can wear these double layer cotton masks solo or over you N95 for added protection. Practice safety, respect your fellow humans, and look cute doing it!

I’ve been in full-on work mode over here and I’m loving it. I know owning a little headband shop might not seem full-on, but you’d be surprised!

Between sourcing materials, placing orders, prepping fabric, sewing headbands and face masks, packing and shipping orders, inventory, building three different online stores, building a new website, doing all graphic design and logo work, photography, paying taxes, dealing with the IRS, handling LLC stuff, and running social media… it can be a juggle! And it’s just me - I do everything myself.

I’m a bit of a perfectionist control freak, so I wouldn’t have it any other way. But I will admit, working until at least midnight these days has me running a bit ragged. 🤪

Small business ownership is no joke! And it’s not easy. IT’S NOT EASY. But it’s incredibly rewarding and I’m so grateful to be doing something I love.

I’m sending out all the good vibes to small business owners today! You’re badass, you’re inspiring, and your hard work is greatly appreciated. ❤️

I’ve got a serious case of the Mondays… how about you? It’s rainy and gloomy, so I’m hiding out in my office sitting in front of a blasting space heater and my “happy light”, pretending that I’m somewhere sunny and tropical. No matter how much you love Vermont winter, seasonal affective disorder eventually comes for everyone. 🤪

That said, nothing like a cute headband to jazz up your day and your mood! When the flowers haven’t quite yet bloomed, wearing them helps! This blue floral makes me happy. ☺️

Are you daydreaming of warmth, sunshine, and spring blooms today like me?
