I never thought that recess a TV show from the Disney Channel would be the thing that got me back into drawing. It also kind of influenced me to take a whole different approach towards my entire process. I guess you never know where inspirations gonna come from. But any who hears day 10 in the series

Keith Haring is one of my favorite artists ever. I love graffiti, I love pop art, and I love simplicity. His pieces are iconic and I wanted to make a piece that was inspired by his work!!

RIP to Eazy E.

This is a cool side by side because they are two pieces represented in the two styles i had come up wiht, i personally love both of these.

The Hometown heroes series was something i was doing where i was making portrits of people that had major impacts in their city. Eazy is pretty big relative to a lot of people i had done in the series, but this was a cool series because i had done pieces that were only relavant to people that lived in different areas. For instance for my home town i did the worcester ice cats mascot, coney island, and Harvey ball (the inventor of the smiley face)

Jordan and Kobe are the GOATs in my eyes. They have a very solid and liquid snake style of relationship, they are almost clones of each other on the court and in mentality of how they approach their craft.
Both have a style of play that is so smooth and delightful to watch. RIP Black Mamba, and shout out to Jordan for the impact that he had on the game.

The ducks were both fun, the kobe duck in particular has a cool detail. The background of the piece is inspired by the crazy 8s which at one point was one of my favorite pair of shoes ever. But the OG Happy Monday pieces were both momumental in my development.

The first one was the dunk which ultimately i ended up making into a poster and posting it on my wall. That pieve was really cool but showed me what I could do with muscle structures and clothing. The second one i think was the most complex pieve i had done at the time and I loved the results, pushing me to get more and more detailed with my work. I think someone has a poster of that somewhere ( i was running a lot of giveaways at the time lol)

Riley - The Boondocks
Dawg Riley is one of the funniest characters of all time! Some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth has me dying. Him and his grandfathers relationship reminds me a lot of my relationship with my father when i was younger (and now even) lol

It's Monday the most dreaded day of the week, instead of focusing on the thing that you are not excited for (likely work) let's talk about the positive for the week.

I'll start:
- I'm excited to finish my bulk and do my two plate sets this week, have been working up to this for a few months now.
- I'm excited make so art, I have a lot of really cool ideas floation around and requests that I get to bring to life
-I'm excited to do some commissions
-I'm excited for the labor day weekend
-I'm excited that I scheduled all of my content for the week so i don't have to stress about posting things and can just make things.

All of these things are small and may not excite most people but they are all things that I am looking forward to! Now it is your turn

A Tribe Called Quest is one the the best hip hop groups of all time. I remember i first discovered them my sophmore year of high school when i stumbled across the Scenario music video on MtV Jams. Admittedly what got my attention was that Busta Rhymes vs (RAWR RAWR like a dungeon dragon), but that video is what caused me to do a deep dive.

Tribe has such of a fun low key sound to them and set the stage for so many other artists to follow. The low end theory has some of my favorite artwork of all time so it only felt right to make the album cover and the duck to celebrate it.
