Since you’re already here, the answer is a bit more than that:
We thrift, pick, shop, yard-sale, etc as well as host clothing swaps regularly—which always has leftovers! In addition, we accept donations every month. We like to think of the shop as more like community closet—a place where clothing cycles through, sometimes repeatedly, depending on the item, so that it can be cherished (and worn!!) for a long time by multiple owners with different vibes, styles & flare.
Currently, we are tackling an immensely generous donation from the bereaved loved ones of a local woman who recently passed. The shop is enabling us to provide this small comfort to grieving friends and family and it is such a privilege! This type of circumstance for a donation happens rarely, but what a gift so far. Lots of fantastic basics and high-quality sweaters and more, all in sizes 3 & 4X, just as we are all starting to think about transitioning into fall comforts. Just as we’ve been welcoming hundreds of new customers over the last few weeks and needing to step up our sourcing game when it comes to the most sought after sizes.
Universe alignment may or may not be A Thing but the stars really did align for this, I’ll tell you that much. 💖
What’s wild is that this is only HALF of part one of this donation.
The other half (~13 bags) ended up in my house to be processed: sorting, washing, redistributing, etc.
We’ll have loads of early-autumn ready pieces from this collection out next week!
See ya soon!
