100% weight 4 Cotton - Approximately 400 yards

HOOK
5.5 mm

NOTES
Beginning chain MAY OR MAY NOT count as a stitch, it is noted in the pattern.

I used Bernat Handicrafter with a 5.5 mm hook to make the bag pictured but any yarn/hook could be used, using a different yarn/hook may change the dimensions of your finished bag.

ABBREVIATIONS (US TERMS)
mr - Magic Ring
slst - Slipstitch
ch - Chain
sc - Single Crochet
dc - Double Crochet

DIMENSIONS
My finished bag measures approximately 13 inches tall (not including handles) and 13 inches wide.

Begin with a mr, ch 1

ROW 1

Ch 2 (does not count as a stitch)
dc 10 into mr (10 stitches)

ROW 2

Ch 2 (does not count as a stitch)
2 dc in each stitch around
slst to beginning dc (20 stitches)

ROW 3

Ch 2 (does not count as a stitch)
*dc in next stitch, 2 dc in next stitch*
Repeat from * to * around
slst to beginning dc (30 stitches)

ROW 4

Ch 2 (does not count as a stitch)
*dc in next 2 stitches, 2 dc in next stitch*
Repeat from * to * around
slst to beginning dc (40 stitches)

ROW 5

Ch 2 (does not count as a stitch)
*dc in next 3 stitches, 2 dc in next stitch*
Repeat from * to * around

In Rows 12 - 37 you will work your stitches between the 2 dc from the previous row, you will place your stitches there, all other stitches will be skipped.

ch 60, skip the next 20 stitches
sc in the next 30 stitches

ch 1 (does not count as a stitch), sc in the same stitch

FINISHING

Fasten off and weave in ends.
