Hi! I'm Shannon, owner of Crimson Clover Flowers! I thought it might be time for an introduction, it's been a minute!
My love of flowers began when I was a kid and many thanks to my Mom. We lived in the country where there was a plethora of wildflowers, grasses, summer fruits, fall and winter berries, and she was always collecting something to put in a vase in our home.
Fast forward to my adulthood, I started my first PT job at a flower shop when I was 21. From there I worked at three more flower shops, and managed one too. I did some freelance wedding work as well, mostly for friends.
I started a boutique flower farm about 7 yrs ago where instead of designing, I was the grower. I attended local markets, offered CSA subscriptions, sold bulk buckets for DIY brides, set up flower bars, local business collaborative events, and more. I also started pressing my flowers (another art I learned from my Mom) and before long I was getting busy with preservation commissions for brides and memorial flowers. My schedule was insane, I never had a moment to breathe, and I was wearing myself out.
A friend and mentor talked me into switching to wedding design and honestly it was the best decision I could have made! It's been difficult in some ways to let go of the growing piece. I adore unique flowers and textures, and every year I tried some new varieties and it was so fun to experiment and fall in love with something new. Lucky for me, there are so many amazing and kick ass flower farmers near me, they can fill that void by producing the most beautiful flowers I could ask for!
Now my flower business is split between full service wedding florals and flower preservation art, and I feel back in balance! I still grow flowers, but focus on perennials
I meticulously select each and every bloom, foliage, accent, texture to be perfect for your unique look, and I'm 1000% committed to making the floral component of your decor unforgettable!
I have so many amazing couples to work with this year, and have some super exciting opportunities to share as the year moves on!
Thanks for tagging along!!
