July is Disability Pride Month!
What are some of the greatest things the disability community has accomplished as a whole and what issues do we still have to address?
What are your thoughts?
For those who don’t understand, we use the word PRIDE to celebrate the accomplishments the disabled community has made in our fight for rights all around the world.
Each of the colors in the Disability Pride flag has a meaning, representing parts of the disabled community.
Charcoal Grey: Mourning for people who have died due to ableist violence, abuse, su***de, and illness
Red Stripe: Physical disabilities
Gold Stripe: Neurodiversity
Blue Stripe: Emotional and psychiatric disabilities
Green Stripe: Sensory disabilities
White Stripe: Undiagnosed and invisible disabilities

I know it's pride month but don't forget the very first pride was started by a black woman. Until everyone has freedom there is no freedom.
