Anyone curious about the benefits of cloth diapers?

Well here are just a few.

1. Cloth diapers have fewer chemicals than disposables.
Disposable diapers have chemicals to make them absorbent, manufacturing chemicals, dyes and perfumes, etc…
Many of these chemicals can cause skin irritation, rashes and some are linked to other health concerns later in life.

2. Cloth diapers are more breathable and more air flow leads to less diaper rash.

3. Cloth diapers create A LOT less trash so they are better for the environment.
If you average just 7 diapers a day for 2 years that’s 5,110 diapers per baby. ( Which would be kind of a minimum). That’s a lot of trash!
Cloth diapers can be washed and reused for multiple children. They are also made of more more natural materials that will decompose much more quickly when it does come time to dispose of them.

4. Human waste in a landfill is toxic. So yet again better for the environment.
Did you know that if you read the back of your box of diapers it will tell you that you need to remove solid waste before disposing of the diaper. Very very few people do this but in cloth it is a necessity.
As part of the cloth diaper washing process all solid waste is removed and flushed in the proper manner.

5. Cloth diapers are just so cute!!!
Patters and colors make changing diapers fun and they spruce up any outfit. Theres nothing cutter than letting your toddler run around in just a diaper especially when that diaper is covered with circus animals, flowers or construction trucks.

6. Cloth diapered kids tend to potty train earlier and easier when the time comes.
Disposable diapers are designed to help babies feel dry which is wonderful but when it’s time to potty train, cloth diapered kids are able to feel when they are wet and like learning how to stay dry.
