Some days we talk about fabrics and patterns. Other days we end up sharing stories about life, work, dreams, travel, and everything in between.

Sewing brings people together, but it's the conversations, laughter, and connections that make each class truly special.

Another hot weekend in Da Nang, but the studio stayed cool, busy, and full of creativity.

While the streets were melting outside, our sewing machines kept humming, fabrics turned into beautiful projects, and everyone enjoyed a relaxing day of learning and making together.

Thank you to all my lovely students for spending your weekend at Zang Studio. Every stitch tells a story, and I'm so happy to be part of yours.

Finished the last stitch on this custom order today. Five handmade pieces, each made slowly and carefully in my little studio.

Sometimes the mannequin doesn't quite show how a garment feels when worn, so I ended up trying a couple of the pieces on myself.

People often ask if there is a formula for sewing.

The truth is, sewing is a lot like cooking.

There are recipes, measurements, and techniques that work. But every maker eventually develops their own way of doing things—the little adjustments, preferences, and details that make the final piece special.

That's also how I teach.

I don't focus on helping my students memorise formulas or follow steps blindly. I try to teach the logic behind them. Why do we measure this way? Why does this pattern work? Why do we make this adjustment?

Because when you understand the "why", you don't just know how to make one garment. You gain the confidence to create, adapt, and solve problems on your own.

Patterns can be copied. Understanding cannot.

And for me, that's where the real joy of learning to sew begins.

A new week begins, and the sewing machines are still humming.

Today is a little bittersweet—one of my students is flying home tomorrow, so this is our last class together. At the same time, another student is just beginning her sewing journey and excited about her very first project.

Every class brings new beginnings, goodbyes, and beautiful memories in between.
