Personal Branding pt4: "How to actually make a product? ".
Today will be talking business "production". If you didn't check the previous part of this series yet. Please go ahead And check them. They are actually in progression, And If You read them You maybe want to reassess some of That knowledge. They're all equally important. Today We actually gonna break it into two parts.
Part 1 "How to make a tech-pack "
Let's get started with some Dos And Don'ts:
1-Basically there Is one Big Don't That Is overestimating the demand For Your Brand
(Producing a whole Bunch of products Then can't Sell them.)
> HERE'S A REMINDER: MARKETING BEFORE YOU HAVE PRODUCTS Is ESSENTIAL FOR SELLING YOUR BRAND.
Instead shorting the number of your products gives exclusivity And Creates more demand. For example having only 10% of your total customer demand creates this buzz around your Brand.
2- Stop thinking about How Much it cost to make your Brand. Instead focus On What Do You want to make, What Is it your Brand represents, What Is the piece That You want to make "Statement piece ".
Your collection doesn't have to be huge, and It can actually have That statement piece in it, and it could work
(What is the Kind piece of clothes That You wanna make: T-shirt, Hoodie, Sweater..) Your blueprint piece of garment Is actually your statement piece.
In order to Do all That in a right way from the start You Need to have Something Called a tech-pack:
(A tech-pack Is the blueprint of your garments That shows Where Everything Is supposed to be On your garments, the measurements, How Something Is supposed to be placed. From the Pantone colors to the print itself to How Long your collar of your garment gonna be, and so on)
So You can hand it to your manufacturer or your print shop And say this is What I want. It helps You also with pricing Which We gonna cover following up the series...
Don't forget to Sample First ..
That's it For today. See you in the next Part SERIES.
