OUR STORY
More than one year ago my daughters looked at me and ask that I help them share the fun learning experiences they have with others. They ask me to make learning fun for them and their friends by creating an environment where they could learn WHAT THEY WANT IN A WAY THEY WANT. The birth of Arete shows the brilliance in children because it was created for children by children. All of our services end with the same goal. We want to create opportunities for all children to expand their thinking and their being by being empowered to own their learning and the results of it. We work diligently everyday to ensure that every family we serve has the opportunity to learn and grow in a way that is meaningful for them.
Having business partners that range in age from 7-31 makes for very interesting feedback session. However, these children have taught my husband and I that they are capable. Capable of stretching our ideas to make them better, capable of providing feedback that bring better results, capable and building and sustaining a business that matters.
We are so excited to share our love for learning in unique ways with the world. We are thrilled to share our growth. Our small beginnings of a 12 student summer camp grew to support more than 40 families the following fall through our after school support. The success of the after school support allowed us to serve students full time in a homeschool setting (spring semester of the same year). This fall we will launch our first private school in Plano, Texas. Our private school is designed to support non-traditional learners; providing both opportunities for remediation (through our ADVANCE program) and acceleration (through our INTEREST program). Our motto “scaffolding to build bridges” will help our students and families adopt the growth mindset that our opportunities are limitless when we leverage our strengths to support one another.
