WHITE H**P
Who We Are?
Founded in November 2017, our White Hmong cooperative produces the finest h**p fabrics from natural ingredients.
We proudly incorporate traditional Hmong weaving and dyeing techniques into the creative products.
From Plants to Fabrics
Our fabrics are made from locally - grown h**p. It takes 30 steps, including scotching, drying, weaving and dyeing, for us to transform the skin of the h**p into beautiful, durable and ecologically friendly fabrics.
We use white residue from charcoal, roots and leaves to whiten and dye our fabrics. The final touches of alcohol and salt make our h**p colours long - lasting.
Ecologically Sustainable Culturally Rich
H**p fabric is one of the most ecological materials. It is naturally resistant to pests and drought. It can grow well in poor soils. Production of h**p does not require chemicals and hence it is safer for users.
H**p fabric is also a very significant componet of the Hmong culture. Apart from everyday use, the Hmong use h**p fabric for events like weddings and funeral rites.
