“Spreading prayers for world peace through interactive flower art 🌸”

Climbed up Kochi Castle during Naked Flowers exhibition was one of the best experiences I did in Japan. Kochi castle is rated one of the three castles with the best nighttime views in Japan.

“NAKED INC, a creative company, that specializes in orchestrating audience experiences through video production, installations, projection mappings,… was the creator of this exhibition.
The Dandelion Project, which is an art project aimed at helping flowers bloom around the world as a symbol of peace.”

What happening around the world is devastating. As a generation of 21st century, we have the right to demand for peace.

6 THINGS I LEARN FROM MY JAPANESE FRIEND.

We are living in a high-speed world. People need to adapt new things everyday.
Back then, I was feeling totally lost in my direction when my family trading business in Vietnam affected by covid.
Luckily, I met my friend in Japan. He had shown me how he stay focus and be on top of his peer.
So how did he practice to stay focus?
•Time blocking: he keeps a notebook and starts to block his time in the morning.
•No-phone: he keep his phone in a separate room/in his car. He only use his phone at 8am and 4pm of the day, unless it is urgent.
•Say NO: He refuses to join any meeting, dinner etc. He finds it is totally fine to say no to certain event or even to certain people, even me sometimes. 🤣
•Mindful in consuming information: He is consistent in reading. He chooses the author and the topics to read, which he believes will benefit him. Instead of reading everything on the internet.
•Be with nature: He said, nature teach him a lot about life. There are so many benefits of staying in the nature you could find out.
•Spend time with people who better than him: he commits in learning and improving himself. Therefor, it’s important to choose who he want to spend time with. Some people got impressed by his commitment and offer him a lot more.

Spending 2 years of my life in Japan and I got to learn so many lessons. It was one of the best experiences I’ll always treasure. 🙏

Is perfectionism a personality disorder?

Imagination of the perfect relationship, a perfect career, a perfect lifestyle,…

And lacking information of the first draft is causing more problem for perfectionist. As someone said, you wouldn’t judge yourself so much if we could see everybody naked. Many people are living “the” best life that I dream to live, but it’s only the surface. I don’t really know how hard they had been working (or their family) to get to that point.

So, sometimes it is important to give myself a treat, read a book, journaling, sit down and meditate, look around, say affirmation… All those practices work wonderfully but sometimes, I also forget about it.
I’m going to turn 27 a month later and it’s ok. I will stop setting up unrealistic goals. And, it’s ok. I’m still learning and unlearning everyday.

“Never dim you light, even if it’s for someone else’s sake.”

It took me a while to learn that other's insecurity is not my responsibility.
But in this post I'm not pointing out right or wrong, I'd like to inspire.
Often time, we compare ourselves with other’s achievement, and where does it left you? Feeling small and not good enough?
So here is the key lesson I’ve learn through out my experiences.
“Be an inspiration not a role model.” Quynh Duyen
We are born differently. We have different thoughts. How we embrace those differences to make ourselves unique and how we encourage others to shine alongside.

It’s hard to put all ideas in this tiny post, I would use an example of Sirius- the brightest star in the earth’s night sky. But did you know that Sirius is binary stars (2 stars)? Imagining, if Sirius A decided to dim it light so Sirius B would feel less small, what would happened? They would end up less brilliant than they actually are…
So by all means, shine.
Be the bigger person, bigger than they perceive you to be, and inspire them to raise to your level.

On 2013, my mom joined AVO.
I was assigned to design the namecard.

We didn’t have any knowledge about agriculture, yet we are drawn into the vision that we could provide the first organic asparagus grown in Vietnam for consumers. (Back then all asparagus is imported from foreign country). The project had failed for many reason.
However,
“When life give you lemon, make lemonade.”
This line has been in my mind for a long time. Until I got the idea that, I can’t change the situation, but I can control how I react.

7 years later, I decided to involve in agriculture again. This time, I joined as an employee. I really rolled my sleeves, got sweat and also tears. Agriculture was much more difficult than I thought. I have so much respect for farmers and cultivators. I feel thankful for Mother Earth, and for people has providing food for us everyday.

Some doesn’t make sense at the time. But I’m here to learn. Why a young lady want to involve in fashion has drawn herself into agriculture, trading business and etc.

Those are all the dots that we have to connect ourselves. When I surrendered, life happens to me in an unexpected way.

The fruit that we bear in the end is sweet, sour or bitter depends on what we sow.

“Be patience. Fruitful result take time.” Quynh Duyen

“The secret of happiness is to count your blessings while others are adding up their troubles.” ♡ ~William Penn

Coming to Japan , the land of rising sun, of beautiful flowers field, food culture that make me craving for a long time…
I thought everything would be as beautiful as I’d experienced before.
But COVID and other situations had affected my life, sometimes, I thought of giving up.

I chose to live in a shadow for 9 months.
Over a year, I could reflect on myself and things in my life.

Until 2021, I shake the negative attitudes off, decide to change my behavior.
I go out there, face the problems, starting small steps.

In June 2021, I got some news, the old negative attitude start to come back...
I quickly make decisions, and things got a little out of hand.

Wait a moment, what shoud I do next?

I figure out I need to slow down, when I need to make decisions.

Breath deeply...

I could reframing my bad experience.

“Yes it is there.” but I realize:

I always have supportive family and friends.

I still have control:

I let go my worries of the future;
begin to live the present moment and
keep my attention on the good instead of the bad.

I’m grateful for people I met in life, the lesson I got to learn, the experiences I had.
I focus on my blessings. The more blessings I noticed, the more blessing I experience.

A little gesture: am I giving or demanding in relationship? Expectations on others come with a cost of fall flat on disappointments. But expectations yourself could motivate and achieve positive. If I said I love this person, what could I done for them? This question just came to me recently, before in a relationship I’d had asked something like: what have they done for me to give them? I suppress my selfishness in a relationship. Isn’t love is giving, without expectations of receiving back?

Could you spot any detail of me in this photo that I was a shy, timid, fears of being judge?

My mom told me once day, when I was 3 years old, she picked me up from my kindergarten, I was crying. It was because a girl in that class pulled my hair and took out the hair band that my mother did for me in the morning. I wasn’t able to be bold and stand up for myself. Then I entered elementary, I was again being abandoned by girls in my class, I only have one close good friend. I was unhappy and unable to connect in school. Then, my mom decided to switch another school for me. Slowly, I adapted the new environment... I understood if I too stand out with my look, wearing good shoes, having hairstyles, etc some will ‘hate’ me. So I start to do the thing called ‘role playing’ when I was with specifics people. It all come from the feared of being denied. So I thought I’d to be “less” and wearing a mask.

Until I joined the exchange student program in America. I packed my suitcase full of clothes I would love to wear daily. And then, some friends at school praised me for my outfits. My art teacher even said I should be nominated as the most stylish exchange student. There were still people rolling eyes-ball at me, but at that point, I almost carefree. I realized I could express and wear clothes that I like. I would mix and match clothes that some might think ‘ridiculous’ and wear it to school or events, just because I know I could be myself. However, when I came back after one year, I had to met some relatives so I just wear casual clothes and put on that shy girl mask, one of the aunt said to me “Oh, you're not changing at all”. I didn’t know if I should laugh or not, yes, I was still me. One or years in another country doesn’t change the base of your human nature, it’s might change your perspective, thoughts, outlooks, but to the core, you are you. Nobody could tell you are less, you are not worthy because of how you dress, or your past is who you are now, you are...! No !

The person who can really define you is you! So as I posting this, I want to appreciate my past, love my present self, and looking forward to meet my future self. Because I am who I am.

Be yourself because life is too short to pretend being someone else.

Turning 26 soon 🌸 pink for life 💕
Looking back to one year ago, my hair has grown double in length. So grateful for it! The last time I cut my hair short to my ears like a tomboy when I was in 7th grade. I haven’t got short hair since then. Once a year, I went to hair salons and did some styling (hair volumes and extension, hair colors, hair perm,...etc💸) but I haven’t go to hair salons since Sept 2019. My mother cut my hair for me at home. So how does my hair grows so fast? I will update some tips later in this post, so save this post if you would like to know. ☺️☺️☺️

Still Updating...
Tip No.1: If it is unnecessary, don’t wash your hair everyday. I wash my hair 3 times per week. Depends on your hair type and work conditions, but ideally for long hair, the less you wash the more natural oil your scalp will produce to nurture your hair.

Tip No. 2: Don’t brush you hair after washing/wet hair, or you will probably see a chump of hair coming out. 😵 Ideally, brush your hair before shower make it easy to wash and rinse. When you brush, hold a section of your hair and brush gently from where you hold downward. After finish brushing any tangled part, brush from the top of your head to massage and to get the natural oil from your scalp.

Tip No. 3 After using conditions, rinse your hair with lukewarm or cold water 💦 avoid to use hot water, it will damage your hair. So if you can, wash your hair with cold water.

Tip No. 4 Avoid using heat as much as possible! Hair curling and straightening will damage you hair sooner than you think. There are so many heat-less hair styling. But if you can’t, apply hair protection before using heat on your hair.

Tip No.5 I said about not using heat, but you must dry your hair with a blow-dry after shower (ideally, 1 hour after) Don’t sleep with wet hair or you will experience headaches. 😵 When blow-dry, use cool air or turbo mode, start from the top and inside out.

Tip No. 6 🔜
