Clackmannanshire *2-2 Campsie

Clacks win on penalties in the event of drawn points.

A closely contested scrappy game ended in a draw with Clackmannanshire winning the shootout of end. The first ten minutes set the tone for the game with fierce challenges from either side and neither team able to get into a passing game. Clacks broke the deadlock when campsie failed to clear a cross and the striker finished well, neither side created any clear cut chances and it was 1-0 at the break. The second half was similar to the first before Ryan Linning dispatched a great free kick into the top corner to bring things level.

Clacks retook the lead from a ball over the top which resulted in the striker coming through and cutting back to the midfielder who finished easily. A resurgent period for campsie followed and we deservedly equalised with a neat finish from Derek Ward.

A battling performance in which any team could've won. Clacks took the formality of penalties after a couple of great saves from their keeper.

Final game of the league cup section on Saturday and still everything to play for.

First pre-season game against the under 21s today which finished 5-4 to us. A good run out for both sides, Ryan Linning an early contender for top goalscorer.

Campsie 1-3 Camelon

The final game of the season ended in defeat for us again. We started brightly and looked to be on the front foot, again we missed the chances we created and were punished for it when Camelon took the lead. 0-1 at half time.

The second half was much of the same plenty of dangerous play but couldn't find the finish. Camelon scored a second.

Campsie won a penalty shortly after some changes were made which Ryan Linning seen his effort saved by the keeper.

We conceded a third and the game was put to bed. Scott Dickson grabbed a consolation late on.

Thanks to all the lads, coaches and our physio for their efforts this season. End of season night is 10th of June.

Tullibody 2-1 Campsie

Away to the side who are chasing Fallin for the title and it looks like it's going to go to the wire. We conceded a goal within a couple of minutes which is something we need to get out of our game. Both sides got the ball down and passed it when possible on a decent surface. We gave away a soft penalty which was saved brilliantly by Danny Terry. Not many more clear cut chances came about I'm the first half and we went in 1 down at half time.

Campsie pressed hard and were getting their rewards with a couple of chances falling our way the Tullibody keeper making a couple of good saves. We equalised when Ryan Linning met Derek Ward's corner to power a header into the net.

The sides were evenly matched but it was Tullibody who went on to score what would be the winner.

Last game of the season for us on Wednesday night at home. Hope the ultras can come down and watch.

Campsie 2-3 Riverside

Hard fought game on a warm night. Thought we were the better side, went 2 down and failed to take our chances. Sean Fitzpatrick grabbed 2 in quick succession to pull it level. Riverside scored with near enough the last kick of the game.

Sore one for us to take but we will bounce back next week.

Big push to finish the season on a high troops.

Campsie 4-4 Syngenta

An enthralling encounter fought to the death seen both teams come away with a point. Syngenta's game plan from the off was to lump/throw/pummell the ball into our box at any opportunity and it worked 5 mins in when a free kick put into the box was put away by the syngenta defender. It wasn't long before Campsie equalised with good play from Derek Ward and Stuart Brady tucking the ball away.

Almost an exact same sequence of events followed, Syngenta scored with a ball into the box and Derek Ward again found Stuart Brady to equalise. Sides went into the break at 2 a piece.

The second half was played at the same tempo and Campsie took the lead when Derek Ward who was addicted to assists cut back to.Sam Williamson who finished well.

Scott Dickson then took it upon himself to score a great header from a long throw, unfortunately into his net. Syngenta kept at it and got another from a long ball into the box. With the game coming to a close Campsie levelled with a long throw from Willie Prentice which Scott Dickson flicked goalwards found it's way in the back of the net.

A good spectacle and a well fought game. Special mention to Sebo who thought we got beat 5-4.

Campsie away to Drumpellier on Monday night, fingers crossed Mark McNeil can recover in time from cutting his toe nail down too far.
